I'm extremely weary of having the same ND arguments, as I've had about 30 in the last 16 hours, but it's pretty obvious that Weis's relationship with NFL people ain't what he thought it was. I didn't mean that he screwed anyone on purpose.

How in the world do you know that? Mel fricking Kiper was saying Clausen was a top ten pick just a few days ago and had him as the #4 talent in the draft. If Kiper doesn't foresee the #4 player falling out of R1, how is Weis going to know it?

And, oh btw, if you thought there was any chance in hell that Clausen wasn't bolting as early as possible, you're crazy.

We clearly haven't conversed enough if you think I was of the opinion that Clausen was ever going to stay his senior year, or that he should have.

I love trade rumors . . . .

Team and league sources remain convinced that the Redskins will trade DT Albert Haynesworth on Friday, most likely to the Titans for a third-round draft pick.

The Redskins have hoped to receive more than a third-round pick for Haynesworth, but that has proven difficult, if not impossible. The Titans don’t have a second-round pick, though the Vikings have two.

Haynesworth would be ecstatic about a return to Tennessee, according to league sources, and would be willing to alter his contract to facilitate a deal.

Good-bye, Alex Barron.

I guess nobody wanted Claussen that bad. That was the perfect pick to trade.

This is going to bruise Phin's ego. Doesn't he think Clausen is going to be the best QB ever?

If KC passes on Clausen I will be in shock mode for his fall. Right now I'm not really surprised. I thought he would go higher but there was a lot of talk about some attitude issues so I am not surprised he fell.

KC won't take him. Buffalo might. You guys might with your 2nd rounder.

There's the obvious Weiss connection, but Cassell has to be considered the long term solution still, and the Chiefs have so many other holes still.

Not sure. I think he's going to be better than Bradford and Tebow. I'm curious about the Chiefs possibly taking him with the Weiss connection and all.

Acting 49ers GM on whether the 49ers would have gone up higher than No. 11 to get Anthony Davis.

We had gone into the draft thinking that we would go as high as 10. We started making calls at 10 when the player was available. Jacksonville was at 10. They didn’t want to make the trade.

Yeah Jacksonville are [expletive] morons. They were given a chance to get a 4th rd pick and move down to 13 and refused to even listen.

That's interesting.

With the Chiefs picking, fun fact:

Matt Cassel rating, 2009: 69.9

Brady Quinn rating, 2009: 67.2

I don't expect them to but Clausen wouldn't be the worst move here.

Hahaha. I'm a moron. Someone how forgot about Cassel. I'll go sit in the corner now.

Pretty much my thinking. That way they could get out of Cassel's monster contract.
