According to Adam Kaplan, many teams do not even have a first-round grade on Clausen.

That's surprising to me.

I'm curious as to how he interviewed and if teams think he has the mentality to succeed.

I've heard questions about that. Physically, I think he's a no doubt 1st rounder.

I'm pretty sure how you grade a player differs from how strongly you consider drafting them. Just because you have a guy graded out as a 1st rounder doesn't mean you plan on taking him that high if he's there.

Caplan's little clip is so vague it's of no value. It's the kind of thing reporters put out there to get page views without saying anything meaningful at all.

Very possible.

Unless he completely bombed something we don't know about I would be very surprised to see him make it out of the top 10. For teams that dont need QB's I could see how they down grade him based on somethings but for others there really is no way.

ND fans are even more defensive than OU fans, it's sad

Since when were OU fans defensive?

trust me, they're awful. honestly, i'm just about the only OU fan I can stand. had i not grown up a fan, i would gladly trade them in for someone new, just because of the fanbase.

Some reported Wonderlic scores:

Bradford - 36

McCoy -25

Clausen - 23

Tebow - 22

In comparison Alex Smith scored a 40, Lienart a 35, Dan Marino a 15, and McNabb a 14. I think this test has proven to be pretty worthless in the draft process.

Then he retested to a 16 :-). Today I would take Young and his 6 over Smith and Lienart too either way.

The "Clausen won't be a high pick" parade continues.

On Clausen, I don't think he's going in top 20. Maybe he'll change minds soon. Some teams like him, looking for reasons to love him.

I don't think anyone with a national voice likes the guy except for Mel Kiper.

I understand why teams are nervous about him, but for teams like Washington it would be hard to pass on him. He really must have sucked it up during the interview process.

The problem is everyone that knew him at ND has mentioned issues with his maturity, leadership, and sense of entitlement. Whether it is true or not, what I am hearing is that he's a guy that came on campus as a freshman and acted like he owned the campus. I do know that he made his announcement he was attending ND after stepping out of a stretch Hummer, but that was 3-4 years ago. Also there are rumors of reasons that the guy punched him outside a restaurant late in the season.
