7 Cubs currently in BP's top 101. Interesting, since Parks isn't a fan of CJ. My guess is he made it anyway, with PJ also making it. We know the other 5. My dark horse is Candelario over CJ though.

No way.

Not how I would have them ranked, but how I could see BP doing it. Parks said CJ would be near the back of the Rangers top 10, they've got 6 top 101 guys. Parks also has an affinity for young guys in the lower levels and has been complementary of Candelario previously. Again, not how I'd rank them, but I can see BP doing it.

Parks said in his twitter conversations yesterday that CJ was in the back end of their 101.

Like Baez, I'd ask Parks how many things CJ has to smash before he is declared Hulk.

If he hadn't blocked me.

Parks confirmed the order is Baez, Bryant, Almora, Soler, Edwards, Alcantara, and Johnson.

It's wonderful. I'm so looking forward to next year's minor league season.

This quote can be read as either positive, or a sarcastic jab at the Cubs. However I am with you on the positive side. The great thing is this year is now most of our top'ish prospects will be viewable online because they will be in AA or higher.

Wave #1 - Baez, Alcantara, Vizcaino, Hendricks, Villanueva, possibly Bryant

Wave #2 - Bryant, Edwards, Soler, Johnson

Wave #3 - Almora, Candelario, Vogelbach, possibly the 2014 1st rounder

Wave #4 - Blackburn, Zastryzny, Maples, Dunston Jr., Underwood

Some of those may never contribute. Others may emerge like Bruno, Hannemann, Skulina, Balaguert, Contreras. There are also a bevy of power relief arms in the system like Neil Ramirez, Armando Rivero, Corey Black, Juan Carlos Paniagua and Trey Masek. And then there are the young, lottery tickets Eloy Jimenez, Gleyber Torres, Jen-Ho Tseng, Erick Leal and Marck Malave,

There are things to watch at the big league level this season (namely the question marks known as Arrieta, Olt, possibly Lake as well as the continued development Castro, Rizzo, Castillo etc.), but the won-loss record may not be pretty. However, watching the prospects develop this year should be a lot of fun.

The timeframes for Soler and Almora are kinda tough to pin down with any real confidence. Soler appeared to be getting pushed pretty aggressively until the injury slowed him down. As far as Almora is concerned, I could see them being very aggressive if his approach warrants it.

If Almora has a good year, I'd say look for him in 2015

Soler will get the benefit of any doubt because of his contract. That said, with the rust he had to have, due to length of time in between playing against good competition, I thought his 2013 season was excellent. Wish he hadn't gotten hurt obviously, but I think he'll be just fine starting in AA in 2014. I kind of suspect once the rust wears completely off, he'll be dominant too. I could see him getting a couple of months of AAA actually in 2014. With a chance to begin 2015 in the majors.

As for Almora, I see an even split between Daytona and Tennessee for him. Followed by a 2015 start in AAA and a late season callup.

That said, with those two being so tight, I guess it's possible they stick them together. In that case, I think Daytona is more likely than Tennessee, but I think they'd both be fine in AA honestly.

I think Soler gets to the majors a bit quicker, but outside of injury(which is definitely a concern of mine for Almora, Soler gets more benefit of the doubt from me)I see no red flags that should hold either back.

Almora + Soler = <3 BFF <3

Baez + Bryant = BHOFF

Sickels sucks. He's also debating getting rid of Underwood. I honestly wonder if he has a single baseball source he talks to. Any of us can rank guys based on their stats and not much else, other than age versus level.

Daury Torrez, Erick Leal, Tyler Skulina, and Ben Wells should be in a top 30, and he doesn't have them in the 40.

Torrez and Leal are in my 30. The other 2 aren't. I don't get the Ben Wells thing at all.
