Is this going to be one of those games where we keep trying to hit home runs despite the obvious 15 MPH wind blowing inwards? Yay.

How does one hit without trying to hit home runs, which is just hitting the ball as hard as you can?

And putting an uppercut to your swing, often. That's what he's talking about.

That Atkins 14 pitch at bat seemed to set that inning up.

That horrible call at 1b set up that inning. Harden would have been out of the inning if the 1b ump wasn't blind as a bat.

The Rockies might still be batting if the ump hadn't blown the call at third to end the inning, or so it appeared on the one replay I saw.

Yeah, that was a complete "sorry for my colleague [expletive] up" call.

The second bad call doesn't happen without the first.

Somehow, every year, I convince myself that the game threads will be less over-the-top reactionary. And every year, I feel foolish for believing such things.

If you can't beat 'em...

How do we get Harden too look as good as he did in the first inning every game?

He looks pretty damn good alot.. despite that poor location on that 2 strike pitch..

The first bad ump call cost the Cubs and Harden 2 runs. Who cares what happens after that. The inning should have been over.

Well, we're clearly not winning this game.
