pretty sure i saw a commercial on CSN that said they were covering the games

Covering is different from televising. CSN is not listed as airing this game on blackhawks.com, despite being listed in the previous round. They aren't listed on NHL.com as the local broadcast, despite being listed in the first round. And on CSN Chicago's own website, they are not listing a Blackhawks game being televised Thursday or Saturday night.

I don't think they are airing the games.

appears to me they are each game except game 1.

I would enjoy getting to see the games on CSN, but not a big deal.

TSN is making much of the last game between these teams and the brawl. This is going to be a brutal series.

Maybe we'll at least get to hear Hughson do some games if Versus just uses TSN's feed.

The only problem is that watching the TSN feed is that they'll be defenitely biased towards the Canucks.

No question. But if they win, I won't mind. :)

a broadcast that is tilted towards the canucks or a broadcast that is all the way homer? I would much rather watch a tsn game with a Canadian team than almost any home teams announcers doing the game, including the Red Wings. At least the TSN announcers are very well informed about hockey as a whole. Some homer announcers, especially American ones, cannot even pronounce some guys names on the other teams. I think Foley and Olczyk are probably the best in America, but they are homers, which makes it un-objective and hard to watch sometimes.

That's probably very true, but I've heard numerous instances where they've talked about bad calls that favored the Hawks and outright said they "got away with one" or otherwise got lucky.

I thought the TSN announcers were pretty neutral during the Calgary series.

They do the classic announcer thing where they slobber over whichever team is doing well. When the Hawks are doing well, Brent Seabrook was a Norris favorite. When the Flames were doing well, Conroy was an all-star.

They also slobber over guys on the bench saying the right thing at the right time to make all the difference in the world. I heard it said about a Flames player, Paulson in game 6, and a couple guys in other games. In that guy's mind, telling your team to "calm down" is the greatest thing a player can do in a hockey game.

That's just McGuire. He just goes insane about that kind of stuff, I think to sort of prove why he should be standing down there between the benches. It was kind of neat though in the last game when they were talking about Buff and how he weighed a certain amount. Kane apparently heard him and corrected him, then jumped on the ice and two seconds later had a great scoring chance.

I missed that part.

Let them get all worked up about what happened in March. That's fine with me if they are going to be belligerent and take stupid penalties. The sense I'm getting from all the articles is that it's the Canucks who have the axe to grind. And I understand, given Buff's cross-check into Luongo's face. But I think that will work to the Hawks' advantage.

I admit, I'm not the biggest hockey fan on Earth, but I do follow. Do the Hawks have any chance? They are running into a red-hot team with a red-hot goaltender, a week off after a sweep, and home ice advantage.
