"expert" predictions...

Recommended Posts

Yeah, but if they do I'm pretty sure that it'd come from winning the Central as about an 85-89 win team. No way anybody but the Red Sox, Rays, or Yankees win the wild card.

Agreed, but part of me thinks why there's people thinking the Royals are gonna win isn't because they think they're the best team, but because they're trying ot not look stupid in case they do like they did when they kept dismissing the Rays last year as a fluke. I think they're just covering they're butts

There's a lot of people picking the Royals to make the playoffs this year. And by a lot I mean a few people I've seen on TV and a few websites

I'd be suprised if they do make it to the playoffs this year. I am expecting however, that this Royals team should finish at or above .500 this season. Anything else is a bonus.

With the talent the Royals have, a few key breakouts and the sky is the limit. Gordon and Butler breaking out this year could easily propel the Royals to the playoffs in that weak division.

They remind me of the Rays of a few years ago. Enough talent they are close to contending, but have yet to get all the pieces in place. Maybe in another year or so they'll get there.

The Rays sat around with some young guys for a few years....then finally broke out. It can happen.

I think the title of the article says it all as far as how serious the writers think those predictions are. They're just taking a few shots in the dark.

i dont think its that far fetched that the reds could contend all season. I personally think they will finish in either 2nd or 3rd

No they won't. Half their lineup doesn't belong in the majors.

And Dusty will destroy their pitching staff before August.

If the Royals GM would stop making dumb moves, such as signing Ponson for example....
