Housh is in Minnesota visiting with the Vikings.

I know he's 31 but he's got at least 2 more solid years left in my opinion. He's the type of WR who can age well because he's such a good route runner with great hands. The next 2-3 years is our window of opportunity anyways.

If you have him and Berrian you will not see the 8 man front's ever again. Or at least if you do you should be able to make them pay. I'm not a big Sage guy but he is very accurate and at least competent.

brian dawkins is no longer an eagle... this is truly a dark day

That spiderman thing he does out of the tunnel is awesome. I always liked him in spite of my best friend eagle fan making it hard to pull for any of them.

Sage is a turnover machine, but Housh with the Vikings would make me nervous.

I don't blame Cutler too much. I'd be pissed too. The Broncos management really screwed the pooch on that one. Matt Cassell will never have the talent Cutler has. Edited by OleMissCub

The article mentions the Bears as one destination for Cutler. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Yeah, Cutler's a much better QB than Cassel. That would have been a stupid trade by the Broncos.

Maybe the Titans will bring him in. . . .

Why in the world would the Broncos do that?

Because they are stupid. One thing that has been made abundantly clear since I've lived in Denver is how ridiculous the front offices of the Broncos and Rockies are. The Rockies especially. The Monforts NEVER should have let Matt Holliday go like that. They should have paid him what he wanted...it's not like he is your franchise player or anything...idiots.

The Eagles have now officially dumped Lito Sheppard for a fifth round pick this year and a conditional pick in 2010. Sheppard is a Jet.

This part of the story is interesting, though:

The Philadelphia Eagles completed their expected trade of cornerback Lito Sheppard on Satuday, sending him to the New York Jets for two undisclosed draft picks.

After being traded traded to the Jets for a fifth-round choice in 2009 and a conditional pick in 2010, Sheppard received a contract extension.

The Titans are in talks with former Steeler wide receiver Nate Washington. I hope they get this done - I really don't expect them to chase a Housh, Boldin, etc. so Washington is probably the best of the "non-elites."

Washington is only going to be 26 next year and finished with 631 receiving yards - 15.8 yards per reception.

Washington and a WR in the top two picks in the draft would be a solid offseason.

Ugh, Housh to the Seahawks.

He left there after his visit, spent almost two days in Minnesota and it looked like he would be signed. Sounds like the Seahawks upped their offer and he reportedly is getting $40M over 5 years with more than $15M guaranteed.

I really wanted him but that's a lot for a 32 year old WR. I'm glad they didn't go that high for him. Now we just need McNabb and Cutler to become even more disgruntled.

The Titans signed WR Nate Washington and DT Jovan Haye today.

Washington got 6 years and $27 million ($9 guaranteed) and Haye got 4 years and $16.2 million. As I said earlier, I like picking up Washington since we weren't going to go after Housh. As for Haye, he's just 26 and fairly big (6-2, 285), but he's recorded just six sacks in his career and none last year.

I hope we still address WR and DT in the draft, but neither is quite as pressing now.

Denver and Cutler will settle it out IMO. I think the Broncos realize they can't trade Cutler simply because there's no other QB's out there for them to go after.

And Housh going somewhere outside of Minnesota is a huge break for the rest of the NFC North.

Kurt Warner has also agreed to a contract with the Cardinals.

Under the terms of the deal, Warner will receive a $15 million signing bonus and $4 million base in each of the two seasons

How long until Leinart comes out and says he wants to be traded?

He'd probably do well to keep his mouth shut. Leinart hasn't been particularly impressive in his limited amount of chances and coming out now demanding a trade would likely get him stuck on somebody's bench.
