The Titans are looking for evidence of the Redskins tampering with Albert Haynesworth prior to signing him.

There's no question the Titans are interested in pursuing tampering charges against the Washington Redskins, who agreed to terms with defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth just five hours into the NFL free agency period.

Speck could not be reached for comment Friday. Recently he said he negotiated four to five hours, and while numbers were agreed upon in the early morning of Feb. 27 the contract wasn't finalized until around 4 p.m., shortly before Haynesworth's press conference in Washington.

Last March Goodell ruled that the San Francisco 49ers tampered with Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs the previous offseason by contacting the player's agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The 49ers had to forfeit their fifth-round pick last year and the Bears and 49ers also switched third-round picks.

Well at least we got a solid LB out of it. Wait...

Yeah, that's pretty terrible that the 49ers apparently tampered and still didn't sign Briggs.

Facebook comment gets Eagles employee fired:

I think that's a bit of an over reaction...firing a stadium operations guy, in this economy, over a harmless comment on Facebook?

What does "in this economy" have to do with it? People don't get away with bad mouthing their employees, and especially not for calling them "retarted". People need to learn that facebook and the internet in general is not some private conversation. If you were for a sports team and are dumb enough to insult the powers that be online, you are putting your job at risk.

And besides, this was just a gameday employee right? He works the 10 days a year, presumably that's not his day job.

Here's an interesting trade rumor:

A report that first surfaced onProFootballTalk.com has been confirmed by a league source: the Detroit Lions are trying to work a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. The Lions would send defensive tackle Cory Redding to Seattle in exchange for Pro Bowl linebacker Julian Peterson.

yeah why on earth would an employer fire an employee for publicly calling them [expletive]?

I can't believe I a defending Eagles fans, but:

Reprimand him, don't fire him. All he was doing is speaking the mind of what most if not all Eagles fans were already thinking.

MO is that he didn't warrant being fired, Eagles FO is bunch of sensitive babies. McNabb basically criticize Eagles for letting Dawkins and Thomas go (even tho, Thomas is near washed up, but Dawkins still has two good yrs left in him), so shouldn't the Eagles organization fire McNabb too?

mcnabb is a lot more valuable than some lackey who punches tickets. if that guy were invaluable to the organization then he'd have room to talk.

Why does the organization care if some guy who works at the stadium thinks it's dumb that they let Dawkins go? How far do you take that? Are you prohibited from cheering for another team if you work for the Eagles in any fashion?

I understand that, my point was firing some "ticket puncher" because he spoke negative against the organization, one that he bleeds his heart too, btw, is beyong stupid. Basically if you can't speak nice of the company you will be fired. Philly basically censored this man's right to free speech. Again, he didn't warrant being fired, especially in these tough economic times. Shame on you Philadelphia Eagles, shame on you.

Trade confirmed. The Lions are also sending the Seahawks a 5th round draft pick.

You would be correct.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

NFL.com's Vic Carucci reports that the Patriots are "likely" to execute a trade for Panthers franchise player Julius Peppers.

New England reportedly plans to deal the No. 34 overall pick -- acquired for Matt Cassel -- for Peppers. Peppers would play opposite OLB Adalius Thomas, giving them an imposing edge presence. A contract would appear to be the significant hurdle left. The two sides should talk at the upcoming owner's meetings, but the NFL Draft would be the true deadline for a deal.

Man, are the Patriots annoying or what, but at least they are willing to go after legitimate great players. Too bad Angelo doesn't realize that it is ok to go after great palyers from other teams.

The Ravens cut Samari Rolle in order to make room for Chris Carr.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed backup cornerback Chris Carr and waived veteran Samari Rolle. Carr signed a 2-year, $5 million deal Wednesday, while cutting Rolle saves the team $4.1 million under the salary cap.

The Titans signed return man Mark Jones today. Personally, I really like this move. Jones doesn't do anything but return kicks and punts, but he does that well (at least as well as Carr did, if not better) and the Titans are the type of team that can find a lot of value in filling a roster spot with a guy who only returns punts and kicks.

After getting turned down by Justin Miller and Jarrett Bush, it's nice to net Jones.

A strangely great deal pulled off by Al Davis, it appears:

The Miami Dolphins have traded one-time starting center Samson Satele to the Oakland Raiders for a draft choice. Miami will receive a sixth-round pick from Oakland and the two sides will swap selections in an undisclosed round, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Bill Williamson.

Something tells me Davis didn't beat Parcells. If this guy is a former starter on a team like the Dolphins, which went through interior lineman on a weekly basis, he's probably just not good.

My understanding is he got injured midway through the year and missed the remainder of the year. The former part may mean that Jake Grove was definitely unseating him, but to my knowledge he was never outplayed for the job.

Parcells may know what he's doing here (he deserves the benefit of the doubt), but this seems way too low of a price for a guy who's very talented but a little weak.
