I don't think there's any question that the Steelers are probably my most hated AFC team now.

From what I've seen the cheap shot artists aren't limited to Harrison, there's a good many of them on the Steeler defense. Who won was immaterial to me but, it's a shame when someone who plays as Harrison does wins Championships.

Best commercial of the night...the Careerbuilder "signs it might be time to look for a new job"...?

I know it was a weak batch....

Yeah, but you know....when it came down to crunch time, and the Cardinals needed a big stop, that shaky defense they have just couldn't get it done for them.

That's true but they had already had to come up big too many times before then.

Crunch time is at the end.

Also, Pitt's offense was 22nd overall, 17th in passing this year. It's not like they were trying to defend Joe Montana and Jerry Rice out there.

If you are going to argue the Cards' defense earlier in the game, then what about how Pitt shut down the Cards for the first 2 1/2 quarters? The Cards were scoring 30 points in the playoffs per game. Pitt's defense kept them below that threshold yesterday.

Defense played a large role yesterday, as it usually does.

No. I thought he was, I still believe defense is a big part of championship football.

That completely ignores the other half of the equation, which is the Cardinals not having a good enough D to stop a mediocre offense from driving for the winning score.

And Pittsburgh's great D couldn't handle Arizona's great O in the 4th quarter. Arizona stomped Pittsburgh's defense, and won because Arizona's offense was too incompetent to tackle the fatass punk on the interception.

Arizona's mediocre defense gave up less points than Pittsburgh's defense wins championships defense.

That interception was a fantastic defensive call, and Harrison got that touchdown because he is, despite his bush league crap, one of the best defensive players in the NFL. And that defensive play is one of the most memorable plays in Super Bowl history.

I have no problem giving the Cardinals offense their due. I'm more of a balance kind of guy when it comes to building a football team. Bagging on the whole "defense wins championships" line is fine with me, as long as we don't take it the other way and claim that defense is not important, which is what it sounds like some people want to do.

I don't really see what's so tragic about Harrison's play. You guys are acting like he took a gun out on the field and shot the guy. It's football. The dozen instances of twisting someone's arm or leg under the pile that didn't make it on camera were probably worse.

I'll take James Harrison on the Bears any day.

Balance is the key. Defense is important but ultimately the offense has to be competent -good in order to win.

The Steelers offensive rankings are a bit deceptive due to their tough schedule.

Someone pissed on Matt Cassel at the Super Bowl.

Link.

1) Hilarious

2) You are the quarterback of the Patriots, dude. You can pull better than that.

I'm gonna guess he was married before week 2 of the season.
