actually he was my favorite cub for a few years. surprised? i hated to see him go down. hated it. it's not like he didn't give me an autograph and now i hate him or something stupid like that.

That'd at least make sense. I'm trying to figure out how you figured out that he wasn't committed without monitoring his work effort.

just strikes me as a lazy guy. laid back, california kid who got things handed to him from a teenager on (because of his bad-assery at pitching) and got too wrapped up in the "life is good" mentality. again, i don't doubt his DESIRE to pitch. i just don't think he's a "give it your all" type of guy.

to everyone... disagree with me, fine. to suggest that my theory is 100% impossible is just, well, flat out stupid and insanely closed minded.

my theory is that a homeless man outside his apartment sprinkled pixie dust on him and put a hex on him. to suggest that my theory is 100% impossible is just, well, flat out stupid and insanely closed minded.

i love the "it's not my job to prove my argument right, it's your job to prove my argument wrong" position.

As someone who had some shared social circles with the guy when he was in Chicago, I can verify that there are quite a few people who have spent a lot of time with him who agree wholeheartedly with you.

you're spinning things around again. nobody is saying there isn't a chance that prior isn't the hardest worker. we're saying that it's stupid for you to say that it's the reason he hasn't gotten healthy, when there is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER to back up that claim.

when you make a baseless accusation about a guy, and then your only argument/evidence is "well, he just seems like a lazy guy to me"... then you should expect to get trashed.

i mean, come on. you said that a guy can't stay injured for 5 years if he's fully committed. that was really bad.

And you think it's okay to make up a complete personality workup of the guy and accuse him of negative personality traits based on nothing but a one-sentence sketch of his background?

make up? no. come to a conclusion based on what you know about a person? yeah.

And that in no way means that he isn't giving it his all to get healthy

when everything is taken away from you... your career...your life... your money... you do what you have to do to get it back. it's not like his daddy is suddenly going to buy him a new arm.

not surprising. not to me at least.

you'll probably be asked for certified court testimony documenting this "evidence" though.

it's called jumping to a conclusion based on NO EVIDENCE whatsoever.

i don't like the way you post. i think you're a rapist. did i make that up? no. i just came to a conclusion based on what i know about a person.

it's [expletive] posts like this that make you look so bad

"brian roberts cheats on his wife"

"how do you know that?"

"i don't need to provide any evidence. i've got a hunch"

no, you just don't like it when i use valid comparisons that illustrate how flawed your logic is

uhhhh yeah. let me know if you change your mind and would like to do so.

how is making baseless accusations about a player "talking baseball", but exposing it as stupidity is not?

you're right though. players can't possibly stay injured for 5 years if they are committed to getting healthy. it's impossible

stop with this garbage. i understand your post.

i know what those words/phrases mean, and i know what your stance is. that post provided nothing but more filler/garbage because you still don't have a reasonable argument to back up yor claim. whatever.

And not a single one of them was going to make him healthy any faster.

If you want to say you think he's lazy, so be it. What I do have a problem with is your claim that working harder was going to make him healthier or recover faster. It wasn't going to help, unless he was so dedicated that he went to medical school, became a doctor, examined his own shoulder, found the problem that other doctors (yes, that's plural) missed, and surgically repaired it himself.

i know what those words/phrases mean

i dont think you do

now you're just being really obnoxious.

ha, I'M being obnoxious? wow.

umm yes. what was the point of the "will power, effort, blah blah" post? what did that provide? we already understand that you think pripr isn't healthy because of a lack off effort, and we've already explained to you why it's really stupid and you're just jumping to conclusions based on no evidence whatsoever. your most recent posts have no substance whatsoever. you're just being obnoxious.

it's like a little kid.

"2+2=5"

"no it doesn't. her'es why"

"5! 5! 5! 5! 5!" (effort, will power detemination)

that's exactly what you're doing. your posts do nothing at this point. it's like you've given up and now you're just being a little kid.

seriously though, you should just stop. there's no coming back from "a player can't be hurt for 5 years if he's committed".
