Cowboys take a QB. Interesting...

I hate Stephen McGee too. The papers have been reporting this for a couple of weeks, but I tried to just ignore it.

I would much rather the draft just stick to the players and team analysis. Have 1 representative of each team go over the pick and how they plan to fit him in. The draft becomes a side story with all the other crap ESPN goes through.

Rotoworld likes our WR pick.

An outstanding pick. Iglesias, Heisman winner Sam Bradford's go-to guy in 2008 with 1,150 yards, 10 scores, and 74 catches, could be an immediate upgrade over Rashied Davis in the slot. Iglesias ran pro routes at OU and is quicker than fast. He profiles similar to Derrick Mason with the right development. Iglesias was our favorite wideout left after day one.

Uh. If Iglesias is Derrick Mason, this will end up being an outrageous steal.

Good God, as bad as Johnson and the other guy were at backup last year, they had to take someone.

What's your take on our other picks?

I think it seems obvious that the Cowboys are taking more projects but also targeting guys who have the skills to play on special teams.

I'll take a Derrick Mason on the Bears. Yes please.

Iglesias was right up there with Robiske for me as far as safe picks for WR goes, and most likely to contribute right away. He's a perfect fit for what the Bears try to do, get guys the ball in space and let them run after the catch. Similar to Bennett in a lot of ways, but a better route runner.

If they would have taken him with their normal second pick instead of trading down, I wouldn't have been terribly disappointed. It's absolutely an outrageous steal. I can't believe he survived the run on WRs they had there for a second.

But the Cowboys have Kitna at back-up this year. So this guy is guaranteed to be the number three QB and will need to beat out Bollinger for that.

We're blessed there were some reaches there.

With Kitna on board, I gotta agree with Vance. Horrible pick.

I think Dallas will deal Kitna as soon as some other team's QB goes down with an injury and needs a semi-competent starter.
