i wouldve been ok had the bears taken moore with their last pick and then a reach here, so the fact that they still got moore makes me fine with the melton pick.

 

But isn't it likely they could get Melton in R5 (if not later)? Maybe there were a lot of other teams eying him, but still seem high.

Yeah, Bears scouts can see what other team's scouts are salivating over a player on your radar. Hopefully he ends up being a great pick in that spot. Like Butters, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with what they've done so far. Gilbert, Iglesias and Moore all projected much higher than where they were picked. Hopefully, that ends up being a really good thing rather than a bad thing.

Phillips-ILB

Sidbury-DE

 

Still a great draft either way.

 

I woulda gone Johnson, Iglesias, Sidbury, Freeman.

 

But I'm not in the least disappointed with the draft right now.

I doubt it...but then again, I'm surprised he fell this far. I saw him as an early 3rd rounder.

 

The Cowboys have taken a number of guys that they plan on converting to LB. I doubt they'll take him now. We could still use a safety, but I don't like any of the guys left out there.

No, not in the least. He's only 5'9", 193.

I don't mind the Cowboys focus on getting pass rushers. I strongly believe you can never have enough guys to pressure the QB. I just think Sidbury is better at it than some of the guys we have taken.

Vasher would be small as a S. I just dont see it, + Tillman +Graham +Moore (and Manning @ nickel) doesnt leave a lot of room for Vasher

Well I mean Vasher wouldn't serve any purpose with the Cardinals. Their CB's are probably their biggest strength on defense so that really wouldn't make a lot of sense from their point of view. Again, they're not going to trade Boldin unless they get a substantial haul.

Word out of Dallas is that the Cowboys were less than impressed with Sidbury in his interviews when he came for a visit.
