so who is Mike Teel?

QB from Rutgers.

Thanks but I realize this. I was hoping for some more info from those who follow these things

Scouting Report for Mike Teel from nfldraftscout.com:

Positives: Good size for the position, tall enough to survey the field. Quick setup and delivery. Adequate arm strength, throws with some zip on short and intermediate passes over the middle. Gets good air on deep balls, stands tall and delivers. Drops to sidearm when needed, has touch on shorter throws so receivers can run after the catch. Anticipates wells, throws where his receiver will be. Experienced taking snaps from center or via shotgun. Good intangibles, a team leader. Played through a broken right (throwing) hand in 2007.

Negatives: Lacks the mobility to consistently make plays outside the pocket. Throws too many interceptions because he takes chances and tends to stare down and stick to his primary receiver. Gets the ball in the vicinity of his receiver but is not deadly accurate. Deep throws and fades will float inside instead of reaching the outside shoulder. Puts everything into his deep outs, lowering his release point by dipping his left shoulder. Must learn to deal with pressure in a tighter in a tighter NFL pocket.

Thanks...Sounds better then Charlie Frye I guess

What a day...Bears with a great 2nd day of the draft, Bulls pull out a double-ot victory, Cubs are hammering the Cardinals finally...life is good today.

Rumored best Boldin offer prior to the draft was from the Bears, which included their 2nd round pick, per ESPN analysts.

man, Angelo really is getting his stuff together this offseason

"Getting his stuff together" in my world would have been landing Boldin.

Wynn and Underwood in the 6th round. I don't think I've ever been happy with a Thompson draft immediately, but I'm loving this draft right now.

I would have preferred Mitch King and Mike Mickens with the two sixth rounds picks, but the two actual picks don't sound bad at all.

This probably has been Thompson's best draft as of today. He has solidified the defensive front seven and added much needed depth to the offensive line. Not bad at all.

Teel is a waste of a pick IMO. Granted it is a late round pick.

He tried to get that done but in reality the Bears were not in a position to make a great offer.

i feel like the eagles have improved themselves hugely the last 2 weeks. they gave up their second first round pick to get a very good LT (jason peters). Maclin is a nice grab at 19 and will help the KR as well. they traded two 5th round picks for ellis hobbs, who at least will at least be a very good nickel back behind samuel and brown (who they shouldn't trade). i like mccoy a lot and think he might be the second-best RB in the draft after moreno. Ingram in the 5th round was a steal, as was Macho Harris. Most mock drafts also had Fenuki Tupou going a lot higher than the 5th round as well. Brandon Gibson was pretty highly-regarded last year but not so much after playing on a wretched Wazzu team. Lots of good picks and two nice trades.... looking forward to next season.

Pros: Enforcer in the middle of the field. Reputation across the Pac-10 as the hardest hitting safety in the league. Seeing as Taylor Mays plays in the same league, that's saying something. Sound tackler in the open field and is quick to sniff out the draw and attack the line of scrimmage on running plays. Zone coverage and understanding is above average.

Cons: His lack of speed makes him a liability in situations where he needs to cover man-to-man in the slot. May have trouble with the increase of overall speed the NFL brings.

Overall: Solid SS prospect, a more advanced version of Adam Archuleta. Will stick in the league as a special teams player and reliable back-up.

If he's a durable Mike Brown, then I love it.

He's one of the guys you always see in the middle of things during college. I don't know if his game will translate to the pros though.

i like how everyone is described as a clone of an established nfl player, minus that nfl player's negatives. if these comparisons were valid, 90% of the guys in this draft would become starters in the nfl.

I really like the Gilbert, Iglesias, Moore and Freeman picks.

Wish they had gotten an OL.

Ok. Now the Cowboys have drafted a TE when we already have two of those that are pretty good.

I guess we'll use one of our seventh rounders to draft this guy.

Seemed pretty clear to me OL would not be a priority

Yeah. It's frustrating. :|

I'm very happy with the Titans' draft so far. Disappointed we passed on Marcus Freeman and DJ Moore, but Britt, Marks, Javon Ringer and Gerald McRath are all very good picks, I think.

Ringer will immediately compete with Quinton Ganther as the 3rd RB and McRath has the potential to eventually replace Bulluck, perhaps. Britt and Marks could both contribute next year.

I don't know a lot about Ryan Mouton, but what I know about him I like. I'll trust the eye of Jeff Fisher and Chuck Cecil, though. I know nothing about Dominique Edison yet.

I'm not crazy about the Jared Cook pick. The need isn't great for a TE since we retained Bo Scaife, but he is just franchised and Alge is getting up there in age. I would have preferred Cornelius Ingram. Not a fan of Troy Kropog either, but the didn't reach for him and Mike Munchak is amazing at developing linemen, so I'm confident he'll work well with Kropog.

I'd love to see some combination of Courtney Greene/AQ Shipley/Rashad Jennings/Mike Mickens (don't think any of them have left the board, but I'm not sure) in the final two picks. We'll see though - I'm feeling good about this draft.

God bless JA for this draft, but are we really going last year's route and skipping a huge need completely in the draft? (Last year we didn't draft one QB)

Still some interesting players left on the line who could be signed as undrafted FAs.

Ramon Foster

Gerald Cadogan

Cornelius Lewis

Trevor Canfield

Edwin Williams

Jason Watkins

Joel Bell

Alex Boone
