he'll say go Pro. they interviewed him before the Rose Bowl and he more or less said that he encourages his kids to go pro if their draft stock is high.

yeah and this is the perfect time for him to go. it's a weak qb class and he probably projects to be the #2 qb selected, behind stafford. next year he'd be picked behind mccoy, bradford, and possibly a couple other guys.

Really? I would think he'd be a better pro than both of those guys.

So is Bradford going pro I feel like I've heard that he is and he isn't? And then I saw on Sportscenter that Clayton has him going #1

i guess you might think that, but consensus around the league does not agree with you.

Bradford maybe, but not McCoy. Maybe I'm wrong but I think the NFL thinks and will think more highly of Sanchez than Colt.

I (although I have no voice in the league what-so-ever) would tend to agree with jersey here. Mccoy over Sanchez? no way.

Ah alright thank you....I wonder why Clayton was saying that last night then

i guess i would pick mccoy over sanchez, but i've never had the boner for the rocket arm that nfl teams have.

bradford is ahead of sanchez everywhere i've seen mock drafts, though.

I hold a grudge against all gimmicky spread offense type QB's though. The Big 12 QBs all had the benefit of playing horrible defenses.

I agree I think Stafford probably played against the best defenses compared with Bradford, Mccoy, and Sanchez. The only thing the makes me think twice is Stafford had the least gaudy numbers

Well you answered why he had the least gaudy numbers in your own post.

Why would you take McCoy over Sanchez? Sanchez is accurate and has a better arm. Plus he plays in a much more pro-style offense.

Has there been any opinion on Nate Davis' decision here? I found that a little strange after his awful performance in the bowl game. Didn't watch much of it so I don't know if it was him or something else, but that's not the game you'd like to go out on when you're turning pro early.

He has a decent chance of being a first-day pick this year, especially with his strong and accurate arm. Next year's QB class looks to be much better. He stands to make more money leaving now, even with his underwhelming last two games as a collegian.

And of course, you never know what could happen a year from now, but right now there are a lot of teams that look to have open starting positions for 2009 and Davis has a good shot of playing early.

Mark Sanchez officially turns pro and Pete Carroll was completely douche at the press conference.

Scott Wolf, USC beat writer[/url]"]Pathetic Press Conference

USC coach Pete Carroll was extremely ungracious during the Mark Sanchez press conference. He stormed out of the room and did not even sit at the table before Sanchez addressed the media. Something he never did when Matt Leinart, etc., announced their decisions.

Carroll never sat down at the table but stood with his palms on the table. His anger was clear if you spend time around him.

Not a great moment.
