Man stop thinking you're all high and mighty because your rumor came true and yes it is the same. You came on here posting that you had insider info and that peavy might become a cub. You only emailed a few selected posters on about what your info was and they came back and said they thought it was legit. So please explain to me after reading the posts on cubs.com how your post was different. You may think you're more legit than the poster on cubs.com but the posters on cubs.com might be saying the same thing about that dude.

How is he acting all high and mighty? He was defnding himself because you basically called him a liar and lumped him in with some joker on cubs.com. DonnieD never said the trade was done. If you read too much into it, then that's your fault.

How in the world did i call him a liar? All i'm saying is dont call the kid or guy on cubs.com a liar until he's proven wrong just like we didnt call him a liar until we were proven wrong.

But he's a liar...

The conversation on the cubs board that they're having about that kid who supposedly knows someone, kind of sounds like the same convo we had hear with the guy in Puerto Rico and how he talked to Peavy and how peavy didnt want to be a brave and blah blah. The only difference is this guy or kid is saying the deal is done which is really not believable because i'm pretty sure it would've leaked by now. I just hate it when people post that stuff cause the cub fan in me wants to believe it so bad but the common sense part of me knows it's not true.

really made it sound like you were implying he's full of it. you really don't see it?

Believe it or not, but I could get that show --- waaaay down in Southeast Arkansas, I could get 820. I thought that '91 team was gonna be awesome. . . . . . oops.

Jim Hendry is going to be on Monsters in the Morning tomorrow morning on CSN.

He's going to be on who in the what-what?

The new show on Comcast SportsNet from 6:00 AM-9:00 AM with Mike North and Dan Jiggetts. I caught some of it this morning and I was impressed and I'm not even a big fan of Mike North.

I remember their show from the early 90's on the Score( when it was on 820). It was actually a pretty good show.

Is there any way to listen to or watch this online?

hmmm this is weird, I get emails from Cubs.com all the time and I just got an email saying the Cubs will hold a press conference tomorrow morning to announce a new member to their roster? Anyone else get this email?

My cousin got the same email.

Have they introduced Luis Vizcaino?

Edited to change friend to cousin.

Did your cousin make you mad or something?

The Cubs.com isn't lying. He provided a name of his cousin which matched. Then he provided where he lives and how far he lives from his cousin which matched. I don't know anyone who would go thorugh all that trouble for a lie.

How does that even prove he has a cousin? And how is getting a name and address and providing a distance from another location trouble?

i have no idea. i just thought it was really funny how that stuff mixmastamiguel posted was supposed to make the guy's story more credible. forget the fact that giving addresses provides nothing.

Yes I was responding because I took it that you basically called me a liar. From the end of your post

...but the common sense part of me knows it's not true.

If you were saying it is not true then you were calling it a lie, and by extension, me a liar.

BTW, Dexter thanks for the support.

Hey DonnieD you heard me wrong. Wasn't calling you a liar, the quote you picked out was when i was referring to the Cubs.com poster. In my opinion anyone who is calling the kid at Cubs.com a liar is a hypocrite because I myself believe you when you came on here and posted the Puerto Rico story and if i remember correctly mostly everybody believed you. As far fetched as your story was at the beginning no one doubted you because you email and contacted people on this board about your story and they all confirmed it might be legit. But yet we have people posting on here with "NewsFlash- Cubs.com poster is lying" but yet they gave you a chance when you posted your story.

So in my opinion if you are posting that the kid on that board is lying but yet you believed DonnieD then well my friend you're a hypocrite. Give the guy on Cubs.com a chance until he's proven to be a liar or his story doesnt check out or Peavy gets traded elsewhere.

Because cubs.com is a cesspool full of those morons who make [expletive] up for no apparent reason.

Doesn't Justify to call the guy a liar if you dont know him. They can be saying the samething about NSBB when DonnieD posted his story

This word, I do not believe it means what you think it means.

Yeah it does, just worded my argument differently. I should have just said those who were posting on this board that we should not doubt DonnieD until he's proven wrong but yet went ahead and called the kid on Cubs.com a liar before he was proven wrong are hypocrites.

So what time is the press conference today announcing the Peavy acquisition?

It's scheduled right after the Brain Roberts press conference.

there's a difference between someone who builds up cred here and some random dude on cubs.com who posts about how far away his cousin lives. if you can't understand that, i don't know what to tell you ... other than i'll give you some sweet deals on peavy autos (my cousin is friends with him), lol.

if i wanted to read cubs.com, i'd read it.
