hmmm this is weird, I get emails from Cubs.com all the time and I just got an email saying the Cubs will hold a press conference tomorrow morning to announce a new member to their roster? Anyone else get this email?

The new show on Comcast SportsNet from 6:00 AM-9:00 AM with Mike North and Dan Jiggetts. I caught some of it this morning and I was impressed and I'm not even a big fan of Mike North.

 

I remember their show from the early 90's on the Score( when it was on 820). It was actually a pretty good show.

I get all the media alerts from the Cubs front office and they haven't issued anything to the press at this time.

I guess nobody picked up on the whole friend/cousin bit from Cubs.com message board. Some guy on the Cubs.com board is claiming to have inside knowledge through a friend or cousin and is taking severe abuse for his claims. I should have made the post in green.

The conversation on the cubs board that they're having about that kid who supposedly knows someone, kind of sounds like the same convo we had hear with the guy in Puerto Rico and how he talked to Peavy and how peavy didnt want to be a brave and blah blah. The only difference is this guy or kid is saying the deal is done which is really not believable because i'm pretty sure it would've leaked by now. I just hate it when people post that stuff cause the cub fan in me wants to believe it so bad but the common sense part of me knows it's not true.

I don't really see what a Cubs.com rumor has in common with what I posted from Puerto Rico. Since EVERYTHING I posted either came true or was confirmed by media sources after the fact (ie: Peavy will not go to the Braves, wants to be a Cub, etc.). Remember this is when most media outlets had Peavy to the Braves as likely or even iminent.

 

I suggest you scroll back through the thread(s) and re-read my posts if you think they have something in common with a typical (at least when I used to visit 6 years ago) Cubs.com post.

You only emailed a few selected posters on about what your info was and they came back and said they thought it was legit. So please explain to me after reading the posts on cubs.com how your post was different. You may think you're more legit than the poster on cubs.com but the posters on cubs.com might be saying the same thing about that dude.
