Not sure if anyone has mentioned the weather yet, but right now the forecast calls for temperatures in the upper 30s and a chance of snow.

accuweather is calling for a high of 42 and no snow. Possible snow saturday night.

I hope the field is in better shape this week. Horrible conditions do not play to the Bears strengths.

Ya, "Bear Weather" is a giant myth...especially when playing the Titans who play like the Bears of the 1980s with great running game and defense and average to below average passing game.

The better the field conditions are, the better chance that Grossman hits a few deep balls, which is pretty much the only chance the Bears win unless the defense channels the early 2006 defense.

Don't you dare take Bear Weather away from me!

Bad weather can be an emotional boost for teams that are winning. I think the effect is minimal, but it seems like when a team starts falling behind, especially later in the game, bad weather makes the losing team look like they feel even less confident and optimistic about coming back.

Wow. So I'm not at home this weekend. And the Bear game isn't on where I am....and no DirecTV.

Not to worry.

There's NFL Sunday Ticket Supercast -- which lets you see all the games right on your computer. I didn't even know this thing existed. It's awesome. I'm saved!

Ok, I'm officially excited about this game. I think the Bears have a legit shot to knock off the Titans.

Offense: As I pointed out earlier in this thread, the Titans LBs are not good cover guys and can be beaten by the TE. Olsen is a matchup problem because he's faster than their LBs and much bigger than their safeties. To add to this, their best LB, Keith Bulluck is questionable.

Also, the Titans are susceptible to runs off tackle. The Packers ran for 4.5 ypc off tackle and further out last week. This is where Forte had a lot of success also in the 2nd half vs. the Lions. And Kyle VandenBosch is questionable also. I'd like to see the Bears overload one side of the ball and run it right at the Titans. Whether it's KVBs backup or right at Jevon Kearse.

Defense: Battle of wills when the Bears are on D. Titans are a great running team. Bears have been good at stopping the run. Bears have sucked vs. the pass. Titans have stunk passing the ball. The one thing the Titans do have going for them is they don't alllow defenders in their backfield, make stupid mistakes, or they turn the ball over. So, the Bears aren't going to be able to win this game w/big plays on defense. The Bears are going to have to do what they do best better than what the Titans do best. Bears are gonna have to do what they do worst better than the Titans do what they do worst.

Special teams: I'd like to see the Bears return units really step it up this week. The Titans coverage teams are near the bottom of the league. Hester has been horrible this year, but we all clearly know what he is capable of.

Intangible: The Titans are not a 16-0 caliber team. They will lose this season. If they don't lose this week, however, there's a solid chance they will be 14-0 facing the Steelers in week 16. The only other team over .500 they play between today and then is the Jets, who they get in Nashville. Only 2 teams have even made it to 14-0 in NFL history. Again, the Titans aren't that good, despite their schedule. So, assuming this Titans team isn't "history making good", this is the game they lose.

My prediction: Bears 19, Titans 15.

The Titans' 3 road opponents this year: Cincy, Baltimore, and KC. Baltimore's alright, but that's hardly a tough road schedule.

I'm not saying the Bears will win, but there's an automatic assumption out there that the Bears have no chance in this game. The Bears do have a chance. This is a tough road game for a Titans team that has not really faced a tough road schedule yet. And the one quality opponent they did face on the road, Baltimore, they barely nipped by 3 points.

The Bears would need to do a lot of things right to win today, but it *IS* possible.

It's been reported that Keith Bulluck will play against the Bears today. He may not play alot with his rib injury, but at least he'll be in there.

Yeah, I figured he would give it a go, but he's going to be limited. If the Bears get in any situation where Bulluck is covering a TE or Forte out of the backfield, they should be able to eat him alive. His backup, Colin Allred is out for this game too.

It wouldn't shock me to see Ryan Fowler, Stephen Tulloch and David Thornton out there when Bulluck isn't.

Tulloch would likely shift outside to Bulluck's normal spot.

ESPN just reported that Kyle Vanden Bosch is out.

No surprise there, it'll likely be Dave Ball and Jacob Ford playing in his place. Neither are anywhere near as good as Vanden Bosch.

Inactives for Bears:

Orton

Hillenmeyer

Miller

Toeina

Adams

Hamilton

Holt

Lloyd

Lloyd looked like he was going to be available. So, that stinks. Good news is Mike Brown and Tillman should be able to go today.

Rachel Nichols reported on ESPN a few minutes ago that Orton would be the third QB today. Was that wrong?

3rd QB is always inactive. If he comes into the game, no other QB can.

Thanks. I watched last week's game there. I didn't know if that was an every week thing or not.

I hate to say it, but Grossman is going to play like crap today because he sucks against any sort of pass rush. Hopefully, he minimizes turnovers, but I'm not feeling good about it.

It would have been nice to get Gus today, but he's doing the Chargers game.

I forgive him for hating on Conan's string dance.

Please win... although I'm not expecting it.

Forte needs to step up today with Grossman in there. At least open up some opportunities for Rex later in the game with a strong run game.
