Guys, the Bulls are a work in progress. The key word for this season is patience.

The fact that after all this time & effort we're back to "a work in progress" is endlessly frustrating to me.

What we're saying is that all these years since 1998 have been one big fat stinking failure. Good job Bulls. Let's start another 10 year cycle of "rebuilding" only to find that our current crop of youngsters blossom on other teams while we bring up another group of draft picks once again. And round & round we go.

Seriously. None of you share my frustration on this? This is all just great with all of you? I can't believe that.

I share it. Trading away Elton Brand was completely unnecessary and it just kept going from there

Then trading away the benefit from that Brand trade (Chandler) for nothing but wasted cap space was really what compounded the problem.

Mistakes were made in the past for sure. What can we do but look to the future. I firmly believe we have our superstar (Rose) and key role players (Hinrich, Deng, Thomas). We need our #2 guy, and a low post threat, but we are heading in the right direction, and knowing the past is the past, I figure its time to give these guys time to prosper. If we didn't win the lotto and draft Rose, then I'm with you. But that's key. We finally have something to build around.

I still contend a big guard would do more good than a big man. That's why I wanted Brandon Roy a couple years ago. 8-12 of the top 24 scorers in the league so far are shooting guards between 6'5" and 6'7", depending on who you consider a 2G. This is a guards' game now. The top players in the league are guys that can create their own shot and shoot over bigger defenders inside if needed. Kobe, Lebron, McGrady, Pierce, Joe Johnson, Wade, Redd, Hamilton, Carter, Roy, etc.

I don't know anyone who considers Carter, Michael Redd or, TMac as top players in this league. All three are extremely flawed players, and any team that builds around them as their superstar is going to fail.

Although I do agree on the point about this team needing a big 2 guard who can score. We have to get one.

Anyone expect Rose to be THIS good? If Thomas would just play defense and develop a game in the paint, he'd be scary too. His 2 blocks were ridiculous.

Deng is nothing more than a statue in this offense. What happened to running him off screens and getting his mindrange game pumping?

He's not going to create off the dribble but he can be deadly when he's used correctly.

All of our big men are really bad finishers around the basket. I'm tired of seeing Gooden flail around like Tony Parker around the rim.

These refs are downright PUTRID... how come the Cavs get a foul called EVERY time they drive to the hoop... but the Bulls have none on drives to the hoop?

I like how Pax's strategy of drafting guys with big time college experience hasn't stopped them from making wretched errors in basic execution.

Which I think debunks the myth of what great coaches there are in the college ranks. There are great recruiters.

STOP PLAYING THE 3 GUARD LINE UP VINNY.

God. We have neither the size in the backcourt or the rebounders/shot blockers in the front court to fool around with that.

You don't like watching our munchkins wrap up LeBron EVERY time down the court?

83 points to Cleveland after 3 quarters?

Who remembers when this was one of the elite defensive teams in the league? No, I'm not talking about the Jordan, Pippen, Worm, and Harper defensive teams...I'm talking about the good defensive teams that had largely the same personnel as this one.
