it's called the most valuable player award, not best player award. what adam dunn contributes goes way beyond whatever humans have defined as 'value'.

Hoynes implies the asking price for one year of Brian Roberts is Fausto Carmona and Asdrubal Cabrera

If this is what they want from the Indians, God knows what theyd want from us. If the O's are really that bonkers, I think we can forget about Roberts.

Saw that too. They are crazy.

Sad thing for the O's will be when Roberts leaves Baltimore as a free agent, and the O's only get a late 1st rd and a compensation pick for him.

Either that or something like Sam Fuld at the trade deadline.

Screw this team for already trying to toy with my emotions. I'm not ready for the hot stove yet. Try me in February.

Looks like B Rob could en up in Chicago after all

9:46pm: Kubatko thinks the Orioles should demand second baseman Chris Getz, who spent most of last season with the White Sox' Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte. The 25-year-old hit .302 with 11 homers and 52 RBI in 111 games in '08.

According to Roch Kubatko of MASN Online, the White Sox have discussed a trade with the Orioles for second baseman Brian Roberts.

Right-hander Gavin Floyd would be sent over from Chicago. The White Sox reportedly want to make it a straight-up swap, but the Orioles, predictably, are asking for more. Floyd, 25, went 17-8 last season with a 3.84 ERA and actually grew up in the Baltimore area./quote]

This could be a good deal for both teams if MacPhail could stop being a moron and asking for too much as usual. Od course, this could leave the White Sox iffy rotation looking even more dismal.
