Wow. Umm, go brewers.

Seriously. This friggin blows. I may not even be able to work because I have classes and i absolutely cannot miss my thursday class anymore. I already got forced into missing some classes this semester cause my girlfriend was in the hospital.

Screw you, TBS.

Same here. I would miss half of game one, the entirety of game two, and half of game 5 if it goes that far. Of course those are all the games at Wrigley.

Im going to be skipping some classes i shouldnt.

Skipping class is a hell of a lot easier than skipping work. Consider yourself lucky.

As much as I love the Cubs, I will never skip school under any circumstances. I was thinking of getting these days off at work, until I realized that the games will probably be during the day.

High School is pointless. Missing a day or 2 of high school hurts nothing.

NO WAY! IT WILL GO ON HIS PERMANENT RECORD!

Eh, maybe I do take high school a bit too seriously, but still. There's also the makeup work I'd have to do.

This is absolutely hilarious. High School may seem important to you now, but it does not matter at all. You will never skip? Come on.

doesnt the team with the best record get to choose the schedule they want

???

TV stations control everything.

Nah, in the league that wins the ASG, the team with the best record chooses between schedule A or B.

Beginning last year, the Commissioner awarded the team with the best record in the All-Star Game-winning league the opportunity to choose whether it wants to play the eight-day ALDS (opening on Wednesday, Oct. 1 this year), or a seven-day ALDS (beginning on Thursday, Oct. 2).

Holy crap, that is up there with the absolute stupidest things I have ever seen.

Well you could send TBS a nasty-gram like I did on their website.... won't do much but I feel a bit better, and at least now they know at least one person out there hates them.

While in school (2nd grade through HS) I went to school on 1 opening day (Senior Year and ironcially skip day) and that was just b/c it was a game day for our baseball team.

Trust me. Skip school to watch the Cubs. HS is pointless.

I spent the better parts of late April through the end of the school year at Lake Michigan sophomore, junior, and senior year. Basically, as soon as I got a car. The only thing that kept me from getting into serious trouble was baseball games scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I use to love the double header on Tuesday and then Humpday at the beach.

I thought the article did a pretty good job of justifying it.

I don't.

The World Series beginning in the AL city means the NLCS must start first, thereby locking the two NL Division Series into starting on the first day of the playoffs.

That makes no sense. Why does that mean the NLCS must start first?

I guess because that means if both series went 7 games, the ALCS would end a day later than the NLCS. Which would make both teams even..they each would have 2 days "off" before the WS, with the NL team having 2 days off and a travel day and the AL team just having the 2 days.

But with that many days between the end of the ALCS and the start of the WS, I don't see what the big deal is about keeping the two situations exactly even.

I think it was just a nonsensical word to use. That doesn't mean they "must" start the NLCS first. There's no reason why it must.

Seriously. Ditch two days - it's not going to mean a damn thing. I skipped so many days my senior year..by the end of they year I got one of those little letters the office sends you that says "skip 1 more day and you're suspended" (which, by the way, is the most [expletive] punishment I've ever heard of).

Ironically I got the best grades my senior year of any year in highschool - straight A's. Maybe there's a connection.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to send a letter or e-mail the MLB Office to inform them that the hours are not a greatest idea. Not just becuase we're Cubs fans, but any person would know that their ratings would suck during the day games, because everybody is practically working.
