Im starting to wonder if Cedeno should be given some starts in October. yeah, Theriots been great for most of the year, but hes been cold lately, and Cedenos been pretty good. When October rolls around, its shouldnt matter what he did in June or July, you have to ride the hot hand, and if that happens to be Ronny, then so be it.

So if the Mets lose we clinch HFA? Or do the Phils still have a chance to take it then?

I think if the Cubs win today, lose the rest of the way, and Phils win out, they tie for it.

Phillies are in first now so with the Cubs win, it would be down to 1, I believe. The Mets don't matter other then they'll be eliminated with the loss. A Phillies loss would secure home field for the Cubs.

Since the Cubs won, the HFA magic number is 1 for both the Mets and Phils (94 Cub wins, 68 NYM/PHI losses).

So, if each lose today, the Cubs clinch HFA.

7-6 in Atlanta as Delgado hits a two-run homer.

Anyone who has MLB.tv needs to check out this Braves reliever Mike Gonzalez. When he's on the mound looking for the sign he's swaying back and forth and has this goofy look on his face. It's hilarious.

One additional thing to note: If they don't care about replaying that last Houston game in regards to HFA, the Cubs have already clinched HFA as they can finish at worst 94-67, and the Mets and Phils can finish at best 94-68.
