One way to show that you're drunk is to hold the sign you have upside down.

Wow, Jim Edmonds got a stading O from the fans in front of the Cards. That's got to burn both the Cards and their fans.

If I had to pick one Cub in my ideal world to hit some sort of huge walk-off homer in the hypothetical NLCS or World Series, I'd probably pick Ramirez first (just because), but then probably Edmonds. An Edmonds walk-off, especially if it were a World Series game, would knock his Cardinals' NLCS homer down a few pegs, and I'd also like it for the sheer insanity of the circumstance.

Good to see Gaudin back. Bad to see him walking people.

I really want to see Gaudin on the playoff roster but he's got to start throwing strikes. We know how much Lou hates walks so if he keeps doing this I worry that Lou might think he's not healthy.

It's so much fun beating the Cards with a AAA/backup lineup in the game.

In other news, the Braves picked up a run in the seventh and have two so far in the bottom of the eighth to take a 5-4 lead over the Mets. Milwaukee won already so they would be 1.5 back if this result holds and the Phillies just started.

The HFA magic number would also fall to 2 if that held, I believe.

Three more outs from our JV beating the Cardinals again.

Magic number's already 2. If the Cubs win and the Mets lose, the Mets would be eliminated from HFA.

All the minor leaguers have great games, and Howry serves up a leadoff double to the base of the wall to Flipe Lopez. Good to see a constant in this game after all.
