Congrats early on winning the divison. Better team won.

:hello:

Thanks, you've been a great fan this whole season. You've always taken out your frustrations on the Brewers and the Cubs (which is understandable) but never the fans on this site. I enjoy having you around.

Most of the Brewers fans on this site have been well-behaved. :D

The Cardinals fans have been, too...although, they've mostly abandoned us. :(

Plus there's that Pirates fan guy. He's like the little brother who always wants to hang out with you and your friends, but tries too hard to fit in. ;)

Well once again Im screwed by fox, who think that the Rays have fans. CSN and WGN usually carry the post game celebration dont they? I'll be listening to the XM broadcast as usual.

The Cardinals have done their part by throwing out their sacrificial lamb on the mound, Joel Pinata. Seriously, we're trying to set the stage here.

Fortunately, Sabathia is going for the Brewers, so you would think that they will win today.

3 days rest... don't be so sure

Yost last words to Sveum before leaving The Brewers forever: Finish Him!

:good:

Are they really throwing Sabathia on 3 days rest? Sheesh, with Sheets being a question mark and Sabathia about to be on the receiving end of a Fatatlity, I might have to start rooting for the Brewers to make the playoffs.

At this point they have no choice. They need a win badly!

if the Brewers lose and their game finishes before the Cubs game, then techinically the Cubs will not clinch on the field.

Technically, if the Brewers lose before the Cubs game is over, the Cubs will be on the field when they clinch. If this happens, I vote they break out the champagne showers in middle of the 8th or whenever.

Seconded. Tell the Cardinals to just leave, they can have the games by forfeit.

Quick poll:

Would you rather have the humor of the Brewers missing the playoffs again

or

Have them make the playoffs with the chance of playing them in the second round with Sheets possibly hurt and Sabathia a ticking time bomb (he will throw on 3 days rest for three straight starts to finish the season, then probably pitch every game of the first round)

I'd rather them make the playoffs.

This afternoon is taking forever! I've got my Cubs shirt on, ready to go.

Unfortunately, I start work at 3 today, at a job where there's no TV, radio, or internet, and if I get caught looking at my cell phone on the floor I could be fired.

No vancejerkins, the Cubs still need to win a few games, because HFA hasn't been decided yet. And I don't know about the rest of you, but I much rather have HFA in the playoffs then play on the road.

Beyond all that, Brew as wild card = Dodgers in first round.
