He hasn't really been considered a major prospect since like 2004. I think anything you get out of him is gravy at this point.

Cut what losses??? He has an option year remaining for next year, so if he can't hack it in ST you send him to AAA. He's costing the Cubs next to nothing and has a higher ceiling than most everyone else in the system.
