Does anyone know Z's career record v. the Cardinals? I'd like to shut up a friend who keeps texting me about how the Cardinals own Zambrano. I couldn't find anything on baseball reference...

Career:

21 starts 9-5 with a 2.77 ERA

This is before today, but it shouldn't go up much.

Z v. St. Louis

prior to today's start

139.2 IP

2.77 ERA

1.16 WHIP

9W - 5L

So he takes something off his velocity to stay fresh for the playoffs and the Cards whack him around a bit. Not fun to see, but it's no longer about these games.

so, the houston game on the 29th...if the astros are out of it...is it still game on or not?

If the stros are out of it and the Cubs have HFA locked up, then no that game doesn't happen.

I've been wondering: what do the Cubs have to do to get the HFA?

McGahee (sp) and Hoff combine for three HR, Soto finally decides to heal himself and hit 1 or 2 of his own. Cubs win 12-10. Forgive me if I don't stick around to witness this, however.

They've got a MN of 4 over Philly to clinch HFA.

I originally typed it as 12-11, then went back and corrected.

I guess I'm going to go EVEN FARTHER out on a limb by predicting that maybe--MAYBE--the Cobs won't be able to come back and make a game out of this one after all. :pig: :flame: :-$
