The Cubs get to add 2 Quasi-home games to the schedule. =D> Maybe they will be able to break out of their funk and lock the division up soon.

Why are tickets so much? Werent they like 10 dollars for all tix last ye when clev played there?

Supply and demand.

Minor league tickets cost more than $10.

Really? I got front row seats next to scouts for $8 at Rancho Cucamonga.

That's how much it costs for tickets to sit in the outfield grass in the Texas League. They are usually around $18. Don't even get the option for front row, although last week Nolan Ryan was sitting right in front of me in the front row. I guess that's why.

$10 for seats in Peoria. $5 on half price day. :D

How do you open multiple VWRs without the first one starting over?

There is no VWR, well there wasnt when I bought. It you add tickets to your cart, you can continue shopping and it will save your old tickets.

On the flip side, Rancho is only high-A and I'm sure you have to keep low prices to attract Angelenos.

Tampa Yankees tickets I think are less than $8 and when you leave they usually give you buy one get one free coupons for the next game. Even with that there are hardly any fans in the stands for weekday games. I usually only go when they are playing Daytona.

I got through right when I posted that and got great seats: sec. 113 row 20.

Bears then Cubs, hopefully it's a great day.

Part of it might be both teams are young 5 years old or less with brand new and very nice stadiums. On the bright side in Frisco we bought the package that includes all you can eat food. Though the prices are the exact same. You just have to buy the 8 game package.

If it hasn't been posted yet, Sunday night's game will be on WGN. Monday's game will be on CSNC+.

But not on WGN all over the country probably.

Huh? How would it not be?

very easily. WGN Chicago and WGN America are not at all the same programming. There were plenty of Bulls games (in the past) that were on WGN, but only the Saturday games were national

Didn't realize that. I guess we'll probably just have to wait until gametime to see if it is on nationwide then?

Len and Bob's blog has a snippet about the TV situation:

Major League Baseball announced tonight the Cubs and Brewers will meet in a two-game series at Miller Park in Milwaukee. Game 1 will be Sunday night at 7:05p and Game 2 will be Monday at 1:05p. The final game of the series will be made up on Monday, September 29 if necessary to determine post-season play.

WGN-TV was scheduled to carry the Sunday Cubs-Astros game at 1:05p. No television decision has been made by Major League Baseball as to who or if Sunday night's game will be televised. Monday afternoon's game will be carried by Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

Obviously, we are hopeful the Commissioner's Office and ESPN will allow WGN-TV to have access to the ESPN Sunday night window so Cubs fans will be able to enjoy the game. At this point, we don't know what the decision will be.

Sounds like they don't even know yet.

I hope I get the WGN broadcast, but if not I'm sure I'll be able to catch the Astros broadcast on an alternate FoxSports Southwest channel on Dish Network. That's one positive to living in Texas, I guess.

The Sunday Night Game is White Sox/Tigers. Like Cub/Astros fans are going to watch that anyway. The only thing I'm concerned about if I'm MLB is those White Sox fans that will switch over and watch the Cubs because they are Cubsessed.

The ticket thing is just crazy, I was checking on Craigslist for the tickets and people are asking absurd prices.. It hasn't been too long and they're already asking those high prices. And, are the tickets sold out? I'm not being able to purchase tickets on mlb.com Or, maybe it's just the high demand.

OMG! This is shameful! Bud Selig should be fired immediately! Drayton McLain is a selfish jerk!

Huh? What? You say that the games are scheduled for Sunday and Monday and the first 20 pages of this thread are filled with a bunch of hysterical, petulant whiners? Shocking.

about that... the title of this thread was updated after it was announced, which was tonight or more like last night... And that was after about a good 22 pages or so...

Bud and company still screwed the pooch on this one. If they had been more proactive, they could have could gotten all three games in at a true neutral site. Instead, they twittled their thumbs and waited until the last minute when all of this could have been avoided. I just hope the Astros and their fans don't whine too much. It was their owner who got them into this mess while Bud Selig let it happen.
