Then everyone could see how ridiculous it is to panic.
panic responses are a sign of a weak will and a generally pessimistic outlook on life

If I was a fan of another team without a dog in the fight I would find this board HILARIOUS right now.

I find this board hilarious right now.

Ehh...hilarious in a sad way.

This is from the Gameday, the Red dots are outs and the blue dots are hits (Not including Lee's single):

2 Hits to the right side (one infield), everything else they have tried to pull, despite Wolf painting the outside corner...

Maybe you did your "photo shop" work to illustrate your points there, but if not... how can those be the Cubs' hits/outs when they are displayed as out in the field at that time?

Easy. I went into gameday and on the drop down menu right above the image (where it says field controls) I turned on Home Hits/Home Outs...

It is hilarious.

I know. People need to realize we've already clinched a playoff spot and losses don't matter right now.

Guys, stop complaining about this game. Don't you know that it doesn't matter? We've clinched the playoffs.

I'm finding nothing enjoyable about watching this team right now.

You can take solace in the fact that we clinched a playoff spot.

No one has said that. Stop trolling.

Boy this blows. Well, they weren't getting through the season without one real slump. Nobody does. Here it is and fortunately they have built a cushion. Though I'm not ready to give up on this game yet.

We've had a real slump. This is the second one. We came out of the other one tied for 1st place.

Not a big deal though, as much as people would like you to think the season is over.

I love how you go off like this in every game thread and then at the end admit how ridiculous you were being and how in other parts of the forum you admit how ridiculous you are in the game threads, and yet, despite being aware of this behavior, you can't control yourself.

If you were a fan of another team, the other team's board would be saying exactly the same things that are being said here.

Meh, that slump was really treading water over a 32 game stretch. They never looked this bad then.

I'm not being ridiculous right. You're being ridiculous for acting as though we've clinched and these losses are nothing.

Sorry, wasn't doubting you. Just, eh unique, to see their hits/out displayed while their names are also shown in their respective positions, indicating they were on defense at the time those things occured.

I got it!

The Cubs wanted us to remember how it felt like to be a fan the other 99 years of our title drought before making their historic championship run. This way we don't take it for granted.

It sure feels like the 06 or 05 Cubs the last few days.

Did the 2006 team show up unexpectedly?

Yup. The '06 team is in the present, while the '08 team was sent two years into the past. Right now they're wondering how they lost so many wins off their record suddenly.

This board makes me think every loss counts as 5 losses from now on.
