Well, it's been a tough few days for us all and it's not something we've come to expect. It's not fun to stay up this late and have the game end like that. But let's relax, put things into perspective and realize that we're still 4.5 up. And I'd like to lose my game thread virginity in a good way.

Soriano, The 136 Million Dollar Miscue. Helps one game. Loses five. Has to hit leadoff. we have better options, yet he leads off. He won't let the pitcher catch some bench time after the pitcher makes an out. He can't run. Tonight we have an even better chance to win if our leadoff hitter would bunt. Did he? Nope. Would he agree to? Nope. Hit to right? Nope. Move a runner over. Nope. Catch a fly ball? Maybe. Get picked off? Not a problem.

Piniella sucked managing tonight. Wasted DeRosa (granted a poor bunt) by trying to move over one of his slowest guys (Ramierez). Continues to pitch They're Hammerin Howry. Why is he even on the team? PITCH SOMEONE ELSE. How many trips to the mound does Lou have left in him anyway? Keep bringing in Howry and Lou will drop dead on his way to the mound to jerk him before next Tuesday.

 

You've heard of suicide by police. Suicide by Howry. Call the hotline, Lou.

The way he gets lit up, they might as well turn off the lights before he comes in. Save some money.

 

Oh yeah....thanks for pinch hitting Blanco the last couple games, Lou. That's a real good idea. CAPTAIN LOU!!!! ICEBERG AHEAD! That's ok fellas, just ram it. We're short on ice cubes.

 

D Lee (who shouldn't be hitting third, Lou) was his normal productive self. Looks like he isn't even quite as quick around the bag as we once was.

This season is remiding me of the 2005 White Sox. They were dominating for most of the year, and began falling apart around late august and september before pulling away in the last week or so. Hopefully we at least have a PO spot clinched by that last week though.
