With the way the Cubs are playing, does anyone even care about the Bears this year?

Elca might care....but yea...

I mean, Ill probably watch, because what else is there to do Sunday afternoon (unless the Cubs are on)? But at this point I have already written off the season as a lost cause.

Week one should reinforce that. The Colts will win by 30, in fact i picked them in the survival pool posted above.

The Bears are on Sunday evening (NBC) for the first game. You won't have to compete with the Cubs.

I'm so pumped for football this year. I can't wait to see how Rodgers does and it's nice to actually be able to watch the first Packers game of the year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Colts be a bit clumsy in week 1. They've virtually had no good preseason time (the first team offense has scored a total of 0 preseason TD's), Manning has to work with a new center, Manning hasn't played at all in the preseason, and there's other holes on the offensive line.

Then on defense..well, let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if more than half the defensive starters missed a day or more of practice next week. Something strange is going on down here.

I actually see the Bears pulling off a Colts opponent special. The first drive, the Bears will have a 17 play, 10 minute TD drive. After that, I have no idea what will happen.

The variable is the stadium. What will playing on their new field do to their intensity level? (teams have usually done very well in new stadiums)? Will it be anywhere near as loud as the Dome (unlikely I would say from having been in the Dome)? The Colts could come out and try to do a little too much, especially in the first half.

It should be an interesting and fun game. To any Bears fans coming down here for the game, I hope you have a great time at the new stadium, and I hope the Colts fans treat you well. They usually are pretty good about not getting on opposing fans, but they could always do better.

Even with the Brewers possibly making the playoffs, I care. (About the Packers)

I can't wait for the NFL this year.

I can't decide if I hope Carolina/San Diego makes the 3 pm Fox game or not. Although it will probably be the Cleveland game, which I will avoid because of my irrational hatred for Derek Anderson.

I'm actually kind of interested in seeing how JaMarcus Russell performs this year. The Raider defense will hopefully defense and the running backs are the clear-cut strength of the team. The biggest problem is that the wide receivers absolutely blow, and by that I mean Johnnie Lee Higgins is their #3. Basically, if Russell can progress and keep the defense honest, the running game should be really good. But if Russell sucks, defenses are going to put 8 in the box and the McFadden/Fargas duo won't do a thing.

Either way, they're probably not going to do much better than 8-8 this year, but if Russell sucks, the Raiders will finish in last place again.

At least you understand its irrational. And if the game isn't Cleveland it should be the Cards/49ers game, but then again I have an irrational opinion when it comes to the 49ers.

Who's starting at tailback?

And I can say I don't care about the Bears this year. But then, I'm a Dolphin fan. I'm very interested in seeing them develop this season. I think the team is capable of winning nine games, though it's more likely to win about six. They played extremely well in the preseason, but more importantly, they look much stronger in key areas.

The offensive line has been a weakness for a half a decade, but it finally looks like a strength. The Dolphins should also have one of the top running games in football this year, barring major injury. And Ted Ginn Jr. looks to build on a season in which he came on strong down the stretch and has continued that progress through the preseason. He looks like a legit #1 receiver now, though still rough around the edges. TE and the other wideouts will make the difference in how far the Dolphins go this year. Having Ronnie Brown, who's a spectacular receiver out of the backfield, and Williams, who is a solid receiver, should help, as well as not having to depend on a rookie or second year quarterback.

The Dephense ranked low last year, but that was deceiving, due to a horrible offense that kept the D on the field entirely too long too often. This year, in spite of losing Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor, they should be much improved. They'll be switching to a 3-4 scheme, which brings LB Channing Crowder back to the inside, where he's more natural. Joey Porter hopes to have a healthier season than he did a year ago, and the secondary should be much better if it's even moderately healthy.

I should be an interesting season.

They have updated the Distribution maps in case anyone was wondering.

Looks like I'll get the 3 games I wanted: Favre's, Rams-Eagles, Cowboys-Browns.

I live in a funny location in Wisconsin, so I get both FSN North (Minnesota) and FSN Wisconsin. So I also get.. Fox from Minnesota and Fox from Wisconsin, So that means I will get..

Favre, Tampa vs. New Orleans, Cowboys-Browns and... Lions-Falcons pretty pumped for that one

I get Houston - Pittsburgh, St Louis. - Philadelphia, and Dallas - Cleveland

Awesome, I don't care about any of those games.
