In fact, it's mostly Zambrano's fault for sucking against a terrible team

It's pathetic that our staff "Ace" can't even get past 5 innings against the Pirates. just brutal....

Hasn't he given up around 20 runs in his last 20 innings? Kinda scary.

NEIL! ;)

And yes, I'd yank him. He's either half assing it or hot dogging it would be nice if he'd quit doing it. I'd hate for it to happen in an important game.

Or he made a g-d error.

How the hell do you miss a simple pop up? Lou should have pulled him. A play like that shows that Soriano's head is too far up his butt for him to care about what's going on on the field.

Yank him, embarrass him, and see if it gets his attention.

He didnt dog it on the play, he misplayed a ball.

Did he give it max effort? Exactly. There is NO excuse for that to happen multiple times in a season. NONE. He should have been pulled if Lou had any balls.

I'm glad he's using his brain and not his balls to make this decision.

Well when he non-chalants a popup and drops it again later this season don't complain.

Fine. When he hits another 8 home runs this year don't celebrate.

He misplayed a ball. If it was Kosuke or Theriot or someone everyone would be saying he misplayed it, but since it's Soriano he was hotdogging it.

He missed a catch. That's not dogging it.

And Soriano shouldn't be pulled because that would be a stupid thing to do.

When a major leaguer drops severals routine balls over the course of a season, it's pretty clear that he's half-assing it. It's really not hard to catch fly balls. When you drop one you kind of overlook it, but when it happens all the time something has to be done. That simply cannot happen in the playoffs.

Kosuke and Theriot dont make a habit of dumb crap like that.

Theriot makes a habit of doing lots of dumb stuff. Not as much lately but he is definitely not innocent when it comes to that.

Pulling him from this game accomplishes one thing and one thing only...it makes it more difficult to come back and win this game. Win this game first, then Lou can have a word with him after the game, maybe even not start him tomorrow, if he truly thinks that Soriano was half-assing it.

Theriot's an idiot on the basepaths, although he's not so bad in the field.

Cotts blows. Where's Scott Eyre when you need him?

probably doing the same thing that cotts is doing - blowing.

Actually he's pitching pretty darn well tonight.
