No it's not misplaced. Z had nothing, Lou left him in. I don't care what most managers would do. Z shouldn't have been left in a position where he could give up 6ER.

Had nothing? He was a ground ball away from possibly turning a DP and that is something managers consider. Z just didn't get it done. Can't just run to the bullpen at the first sign of trouble early in the game. Plus, the Cubs don't have an off day for 8 more games (with tougher competition awaiting).

At this point, Z has to earn his way back to pitch game 1 or 2 in a playoff scenario. As of now, he's pitching game 3 if I'm Piniella. Not too bad to have an ace quality pitcher pitching game 3.
