Pavano is getting shelled

I never understood all the hubbub and anticipation about the guy. He has the injury problems of Kerry Wood and Mark Prior but one good season at what, age 28 or 29?

How the hell does Tom Gorzelanny still have a rotation spot? That ERA is embarassing.

What is up with 1 year flukes for Pittsburgh pitchers?

Oliver Perez

Zach Duke

Ian Snell

Tom Gorzelanny

This is Gorzos first start since being recalled from the minors

That's true. And he was pretty dominant in the minors. After his final start (7 innings, 1 hit, 0 walks, 6 K's) they recalled him.

It doesn't look like he's doing too badly tonight.

Hmm. McCann was on 2nd when someone singled with 2 outs, I'd have expected most players to score in that situation.

Oh well

It was a routine grounder to second and the second baseman took his time and the runner beat it out.

That play was hilarious. The announcers spent the next several minutes bagging on Lopez, but it really looked like Albert dogged it to go cover first and Lopez had to wait for him.

Either way, great stuff.

Nobody really has any anticipation for the guy. When he signed, it was the poster-child "career-year" signing. And since he cashed in on his big payday, he doesn't feel like pitching anymore. He just dogs it in rehab, and the Yankees are stuck with him. Everybody just thinks its funny.

Yea that play was entirely on Pujols, but dont tell Stl fans that. Pujols can do no wrong

I don't think the Pirates are going to help us tonight.

Well if you don't like that, wait till the Cubs go to Pittsburgh, and all of a sudden they know how to play baseball.

I wouldn't expect it. The Crew knows how to leave no doubt against these crappy teams. Pirates will show no life until Monday.

lopez had to wait more than he should've, but he wasnt ready when pujols finally was. i think the blame goes both ways. and you're absolutely right about the 2nd part. lucky for me i didnt have to hear hrabosky's take on the play.
