seriously, how do you find any positives about that organization?

Zimmerman is pretty much it. Milledge might pan out, but eh.

the bloom is even starting to come off of zimmerman's rose. i don't know that he's going to be the star that everyone expected after his rookie year. though the nationals are probably crushing his soul, too.

We would be so much better if we had acquired Brian Roberts.

Brian Roberst 8 HR 45 RBIS AVG .300 OBP .382

Ryan Theriot 1 HR 33 RBIS AVG .313 OBP .394

Mike Fontenot 8 HR 31 RBIS AVG .286 OBP .374

I'm perfectly fine with that, I don't know if you were making a joke or not but ... ya

I think the Mark DeRosa signing is the arguably the best act Jim Hendry has done.

Those Rich Harden and Aramis Ramirez guys are pretty good too.

Also, the Aaron Crow mess was just shameful. Seriously, what the heck were the Nationals thinking on that one?

What happened with Aaron Crow? He was a stud at missouri and hated when Nebraska had to face him.

I kinda feel bad for him.

He had to have been convinced he was on his way here, and he's missing out on this.

Oh yeah definitely :good: . DeRosa has had so much impact in versatility, defense and surprisingly great offensive numbers this year. His impact has been bigger than Harden for sure, hard to say if he's been more important that Aramis, but he plays very well in ARams stead.

When he was in town to play the Sox in April, he was on TribLive and mentioned his agent had texted him and told him he had been traded to the Cubs.

The Cubs could have 6 players with 20 or more HRs, but 0 with 30 or more HRs.

Soriano - 22

Ramirez - 20

Soto - 18

Lee - 18

DeRosa - 16

Edmonds - 16

The Nationals drafted him and completely blew it in their negotiations with him. He is slated to play independent ball and will re-enter next year's draft.

This team would be in real sad shape without DeRosa these past few weeks.

That's not true.

All I know last 11 games

Derosa

12-32 11 runs 3 HR's 11 RBIS 8 BB 7 k's 1 SB .375 AVG .500 OBP

I wouldn't mind the Cubs getting him then.

lol...Mark Derosa is a nice player, but to say he's for sure been bigger impact than Rich Harden is silly.

I like their ballpark.

They had a Hell of a team in 94

hence the importance of scouting. a lot of people bitched about hendry signing another mediocre middle infielder, but it seems the toe tap that derosa added in texas really has helped him stay back on the ball, show better selectivity and drive mistake pitches.

I'm not denying he's been out of this world, but Edmonds, Johnson, Sori and Rammy have all been good. DeRosa has been exceptionally hot, but we wouldn't have been "sad" without his production.
