Nice. Well I missed this one because I'm at work.

Oh well. Highlights are fun to watch when they're happy ones.

if the cubs go .500 the rest of the way, the cardinals would have to play .681 ball to finish ahead of the cubs.

TOAST.

That is a beautiful number. Suck it Stl your division hopes are OVER

The very best part of today's game?

The Cardinals paid Jim Edmonds a little over $12,000 today to hit two home runs against them.

7 games up doesn't sound insurmountable, but we're 24 games over and they're 10 games over. I'd still love for them to beat out Milwaukee, but I don't see it happening.

Missed the first 7 innings due to work....anyone have a clip of Edmonds waving to LaRussa after his first HR? They don't show it on mlb.com

Also...Edmonds is becoming one of my favorite players and Howry actually was effective today. Not sure which one was less likely, but I think hell is freezing over

i agree that 7 doesn't sound like a lot, but when you think about what st. louis would have to do record-wise from here on out, it sounds a lot better.

I told a friend a couple of months ago that if Edmonds hit 15 homers, I'd by a jersey or jersey tee. I can't believe that I'm about to purchase anything Edmonds related.

They're 75% off at cardinals.com.

Nah. It hasn't started freezing over yet, but I think it is cooling off down there.

Better get one while they last then. They might be having a bonfire by the end of the weekend.

Wait, he really did that? I didn't see the game. I'll check it out on mlb.tv later when it's archived.

Ha, I dont know, but personally I would have loved to see Edmonds touch home plate, and turn towards the Cards dugout and give them a double middle finger :D

If anyone is going to tomorrow's game they need to make a poster of the above statement.
