I can't wait to hear Lou defend Marquis today

Yup. Ugh, it irritates me so much. Everyone knows how awful Marquis is and he continues to get the ball every 5th day. He'll allow 4 runs in 5 innings and Lou will still say he pitched "ok". Lou was really irritated with him earlier in the year but all it took was one or two decent outings and now he's back to thiking he's a capable starter.

When will we learn not to pitch to Lee?

They kept pitching to Pudge in the NLCS when they often didn't have to, and he kept killing us. It has to be an organizational philosophy of some sort.

Why didn't Derrek Lee tell Lou not to have Marquis pitch to C Lee there?

Hey take the piss at least we wouldn't of just given 5 runs up to el fatto in 2 games

Wait, how would we have avoided that?

I was just thinking. Putting the best singles hitter in the league and the best double play threat in the league back to back in the lineup was probably not a great idea.

Although, rarely have I gone so quickly from a sense of excitement to disappointment when I got an alert of "Lee 3-run HR in 3rd".

If i was mark cuban i would build a retractable wall in left field and when carlos lee comes to town the baby goes way up.

If I was Mark Cuban I'd have DFA'd Marquis a long time ago. He'd be one to do it no matter what his contract.

The Cubs can afford to eat the rest. We have a far cheaper option that can't be any worse, and we refuse to use him in Marquis's role.

It amazes me how much laughter this comment got at important times ie when Marmol strugglees how many times does aramis step in 2 calm him down. With runners on how many times do the infield chat to make sure they set up properly. All i was saying is that someone.....anyone could of told Lou/Howry that this guy kills us geez get a life.

There's a difference between Aramis(?) talking to Marmol, and Lee talking to Lou. I think Lou is perfectly aware that Carlos Lee kills the Cubs.
