Just got back from that mess.

What a terrible weather situation.

Gross.

They had a local guy from CBS news live from Wrigley who said kids were crying because the wind was so bad and the sirens were going off.

Debris all over the place and fans were running for safety.

Do tell what you saw.

That's really quite accurate. First the rains came, and then you could see the sky just lighting up like I've never seen before. We decided to go to the bathroom on the first level, and it was just chaos.

Everyone trying to get out at once, it was a hot, stinky sweaty mess and then my dad calls me and tells me there are tornadoes down east of Wrigley, headed east. Also, they're in their basement right now in a NW suburb, and it's also flooding up.

And now I'm thinking we have to get out, this building is 90+ years old and it's falling apart already, it doesn't need a tornado's help. Meanwhile, people are kind of piling up at the entrances, because people want to leave, but then see how bad the rain and lighting is, and decide just to stay put. Rain starts coming in sideways through the stairways to the seats by the dugout. Or was it hail? Couldn't tell.

The rain finally lets up a bit, so we make a run for the buses, but they're not taking people at the moment for god knows what reason. We get soaked then finally on our bus and away.

That is some of the craziest weather I've ever seen. Lighting all across the sky. Just everywhere. Huge gusts of wind.

Not cool.

So what's the wind situation now?

Any at all, still blowing out, harder now, etc??

Tornado winds are pretty strong.

I can see some random dust/pollen just floating in the air so I assume it's not very windy. But that's just anectodal observation.

This reminds me of the Maddux game from a couple years ago. Was that the night he got his 300th win, or was it his 3000th K?

His 300th win came at SF, IIRC.

3000th K, after a lengthy delay vs. SF at Wrigley.
