Well, it's about time to bail on this one, and my office, in favor of the bar.

Always a good time to bail for a bar.

People should really worry less about the hitting when the runners are on and moreso about just getting runners on in general.

When you get more runners on, you get more opportunities to score, and you get more runs.

The Cubs lead the league in getting runners on base, and, wouldn't you know, lead the league in runs scored.

No one is arguing this.

When we're losing people consistently cite the numbers of runners stranded. It's baseball, it happens sometimes. Some days you just can't score. That's why in a 162 season, it's EXCELLENT to win 60% of games. I just don't get why people don't understand that. We just got off a huge series in which we won all 4 games and executed brilliantly. The chances of losing a game after that and not performing are pretty high.

Hitting better than normal with RISP will get your team more runs, though, it's just not a predictable skill.

I'd like for the Cubs to hit better with RISP, win a flukey share of one-run games and have every draft pick work out.

But they are complaining about stupid crap like our average today with RISP.

Dude, we are losing to the Pirates and people are bummed out about it. It's no big deal.

Is Thomas Ian Nicholas the little pitcher from Rookie of the Year?

Yes. He's also the guy who nailed Tara Reid in American Pie.

So would I, but I'm not going to complain about it when it doesn't happen.
