We just exposed the Brewers about as thoroughly as anyone has ever been exposed as not ready for the big time. This is my new favorite regular season series of all time. Following on Gameday was hell only as far as not getting to see the beating administered live.

This is quite seriously about as happy as I've ever been to be a Cubs fan.

I've been meaning to read up on some MJS articles about this series, so I check out the site. I love the picture and headline right next to it.

Suspect in quadruple homicide arrested

That's pretty much apt.

The Cubs completely outclassed the Brewers in this series, on and off the field. Throwing at hitters is dumb, complaining all series about close strike 3 calls is [expletive], and completely collapsing whenever the Cubs scored the first run is pathetic. I love how it took the Brewers until the 9th inning when they were down 11-2 to get a hit with RISP.

Throwing at hitters? What happened?

Gagne threw at Edmonds four times and in typical Gagne fashion, he missed all four times. Gagne got tossed and Edmonds laughed at him as he jogged to first.

"I guess there's a rule that you can't throw in," Gagne said. "My thoughts don't matter. [The Cubs] played a great four games on us. They beat us. We got schooled."

On that point, there was agreement.

"We got spanked," Yost said.

"We got our [rear ends] kicked," Bush said.

"I'm pretty much embarrassed," Braun said.

So awesome.

He threw the first three pitches way inside, which I figured was just Gagne being Gagne and sucking. But the fourth went behind Edmonds and the ump tossed him immediately. Pretty clear after the fourth pitch that the first three didn't just miss inside.

yeah Gagne, umps probably don't actually have a problem with pitchers pitching inside but there is no advantage to pitch inside on a 3-0 count or to pitch inside for effect more than 1 or 2 times let alone 4 in a row.

That is, by far, the BEST Cubs game I have ever attended live.

I was in section 231, row 20.. There were drunken fat women behind me who were three sheets to the wind by the 3rd inning. One kept chanting "FU-KU-DO-MEHHHHHH" in a very baritone voice. She did this about a dozen times.

Harden really needs to work on his bunting. He looked like he didn't have a clue what to do during that sacrifice attempt. Good Lord. I can forgive him somewhat for being in the AL for so long, but this needs to be made a priority.

I saw Brewers BP. I saw Braun lay down a few bunts and thought it was odd. He's one of the best hitters in the NL. Why the hell is he bunting for hits. And then he tried it twice in the game.

I no longer hate Jim Edmonds. I was giving him a standing ovation while he was rounding the bases. I never in a million years thought I would do that. Wow.

We were singing "Go Cubs Go" for half of the bottom of the 9th. It was awesome.

It was certainly Wrigley North today. The stadium, from my perspective, was about 3/4ths full in the 9th inning. Cub fans stuck around, and there were some very dejected Brewers fans as well.

Today was so much fun!! I hope it continues tomorrow against Pittsburgh, especially since we don't have to worry about Jason Bay.

Hahaha, very nice. If anyone has video of this, please post it.
