Now that we have Harden, do you see Hendry making any other moves of significance, or making marginal moves for the bench and/or bullpen?

If we add another pitcher, do you see us adding Burnett? Would it be a Wolf/Maddux-type? What about decent pitchers from teams hopelessly out of it like Harang or Aaron Cook?

As for offense, would Milton Bradley or Jose Guillen be available for CF? Both can be "clubhouse cancers," but both are having good offensive years. This would obviously force Edmonds to the bench, but it would be worth it to have either guy in the lineup.

So, what do you think? Is Hendry done?

Barring injuries, a bench bat or bullpen arm is all I'd really guess.

Brian Fuentes your table is ready? Boy that'd be really nice to have!

I don't think it's necessary for us to make a move for another starting pitcher. Marshall is around as insurance in case of injury, and if Marquis just gets too bad to hold down a spot any longer, Veal and Hill are making some pretty drastic turnarounds right now... and there's always the possibility that Guzman comes back in late August.

C, 1B, 3B, LF, and RF are all pretty well set.

There's not likely to be any real upgrades available at SS.

Any upgrade over DeRosa at 2B is likely to cost far more in talent than the difference in production would warrant.

The Edmonds/Johnson platoon in CF seems to be working...

The right side of our bullpen seems fine...

Yeah... I guess all I'm really looking for is a lefty out of the pen and maybe a few better bench options.

If we can get A.J. Burnett, that would be super, otherwise, Im satisfied with what we have. Jason DuBois or Micah Hoffpauir can do whatever it is that Matt Murton was(or wasnt) doing until Soriano returns, and then we really dont have any more holes to fill.

I don't even see a bullpen move as likely now; that's already been upgraded with Gaudin. I think another banch bat would be the most likely move.

The question is, is there really an available rent-a-bat off the bench that would be any better than Hoffpauir?

Well, if it comes down to it, Barry would be one hell of a secret wepon off the bench. Granted, it would be a $10million weapon off the bench, despite the Barry would play for free mumbo jumbo, but wed also have a nice DH for the WS.

I'd like to get a back-up middle infielder who can hit better than Cedeno. Felipe Lopez comes to mind, but he isn't exactly hitting this year.

I'd kick the tires on Fuentes. He'd make a good bullpen even better.

The only option I can think of...and Im going to run for cover after saying this is...David Eckstein. I know, hes a .700 OPSer at best, but you could do worse off the bench, and hed be a nice little insurance policy in case of a Theriot nose dive. Cheap to.

I'd love to see them grab Bradley. As much as I've enjoyed Edmonds' little comeback, there's next to no chance it lasts.

I'm definitely on board with this. Especially since Lou will want to give Soriano and Fukudome plenty of days off. I've had a baseball crush on Bradley for a few years now.

I think Gaudin is a better option than Maddux or Wolf. I see him working his way into the rotation, actually. He'd be one of the better 5th starters around.

Yeah, Milton Bradley seems like a good choice. I'm not sure what else there is to do.

I'd be on board.
