I bet you see Murton over Hoff.

True. Why was I smart enough to insert Johnson in the leadoff spot vs. a lefty, but then completely forgot when it came to selecting a LF. You're right Murton over Hoff

Probably because your mind was thinking, "Why would Murton ever get a start?"

We may have some brief showers coming up, but it will probably have passed by first pitch.

Oh, and I hate these series.

I hope the Cubs put up a 6-spot in the first so I don't have to listen to Hawk spew his stupidity. Damn I wish I got CSN.

Tough turnaround time for the Cubs. I hope Reed Johnson is ready to go today -- Lou seemed a litte hesitant on that during the pregame show last night. I'm on a plane this afternoon and hoping to hear about a GLORIOUS VICTORY when I land. Go Cubs!

I fear it could be four in a row today. The Cubs really haven't faced a lot of adversity this year.... we'll see what they're made of.

The last sniff of adversity was the Pittsburgh series (particularly the way in which those games were lost) and they proceeded to reel off what, 8 straight wins?

A good day would be a Cubs win, Z is fine, and Soriano can start BP.

Huh? Is that even considered a remote possibility?

my friend is saying that the game is on WGN...is that true?

It's on both, I think.

WGN is probably carrying the Sox broadcast. CSN would be the Cubs broadcast.

I hope they do both series that way so I don't have to listen to Crappy McIshpants and that other dude

Left fielder Alfonso Soriano hasn't even had today's scheduled X-ray on his broken hand, and he already is targeting Monday to take batting practice for the first time since the June 11 injury.

''That's what I say. It feels good,'' said Soriano, who said this week he's shooting for a quick enough recovery to play in the All-Star Game on July 15. ''We'll see.''

The team's medical staff expects today's X-ray to offer a better timeline for the return of Soriano, who will need a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated. The original estimate was six weeks from the injury.

Soriano is out of his mind and seriously needs to stop rushing himself back from injuries. He was a one-legged gimp for over a month. That I was OK with, because he could still hit. But let your damn hand heal properly.
