Ted Lilly takes the hill for game one of the cross town show down. This is a big one for the cubs. They really need to forget about the Tampa mess and move on. They have the best record in the bigs and it's time to stomp a mud hole into the white sox.

GO CUBS!!!!!

Hurry, someone with a brain throw some stats and TV info --- I got no clue (obviously).

If you are like me and have WGN but not CSN, you can listen to the homers today as well. (Might wanna add it to the title)

May god bless all of you brave soldiers.

It wouldn't feel right if someone from the W.Sox didn't rip Wrigley.

Nose plugs ... check.

White Sox pitcher John Danks' travel bag is packed for this afternoon's game at Wrigley Field.

''We'll all be bringing our nose plugs, try not to smell all the urine over there,'' Danks said Thursday. ''Nah, we're looking to have fun over there, but that place is a [bleep] hole.''

Danks gets a good whiff of the heated Sox-Cubs series this afternoon, no longer just a spectator. The ball is in his hands for Game 1 after he had to sit and watch all six games in 2007.

''Yeah, I was disappointed last year when I got pushed back a day and had to miss my start over there,'' Danks recalled. ''Things are a little different this time around.''

If he can avoid stepping on crackheads and hypodermic needles around The Cell, Im sure the smell of urine shouldnt bother him too much.

It's so on! Game thread Pimp is in this b.i.

I hate that this series is important now that the Cubs just got swept. Danks is beatable. He has good numbers so far, but he's nothing special. Lefties have hit Danks better than RHs, so I pray that Lou doesn't start the all RH lineup. I'd imagine Fukudome will be in there. I hope Lou doesn't shy away from using Hoffpauir in LF either. Lilly will probably see a completely RH lineup as the Sox only LH hitters are Thome, who hasn't played the field yet this year and AJP, who will probably sit today. Sox are all swinging hot bats, but this ain't the Pirates pitching. Beat them 5 of 6 times last year. They are the same team. Cubs are better.

Aramis has great numbers vs. the Sox pitching. I expect big things from him being at home. Derosa will be big in this series. And the White Sox have seen nothing like Kosuke Fukudome.

Thank God we are back to NL lineups. I think I read Reed might be ok to go today, and thats good because Danks is a tough lefty. My lineup prediction

Johnson, CF (Lou will move Fukudome down because hes a lefty)

Theriot, SS

Lee, 1B

Ramirez, 3B

Soto, C

Fukudome, RF

Hoffpauir, LF

DeRosa, 2B

Lilly, P

Sox will probably go this way

Douchebag, CF

Douchebag, C

Douchebag, 1B

Douchebag, LF

Douchebag, RF

Douchebag, 3B

Douchebag, 2B

Douchebag, SS

Douchebag, P

I bet you see Murton over Hoff.

True. Why was I smart enough to insert Johnson in the leadoff spot vs. a lefty, but then completely forgot when it came to selecting a LF. You're right Murton over Hoff
