UC Davis held on for an 85-82 win over UC Irvine. Now 3-2 in the Big West and into third place after going 2-14 last year and finishing last. First time with back-to-back road wins since the 2003-2004 season when they were still playing a Division II schedule.

 

UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly are both winnable games next week so 5-2 is likely. I've got them at 8-8 at the very least, with 12-4 as the ceiling, which likely gets them a bye to the semifinals of the BW tourney.

Notre Dame's had a rough go of it, lately. Is it just the competition, or are there some confidence/chemistry issues?

 

Tennessee is in the same boat. Good competition AND chemistry issues are hurting right now. Well, that, and the fact that every team we face has someone go for a career high.
