Renardo Sidney was all set to announce UCLA on Sunday. Yesterday, UCLA dropped their offer to him (supposedly because he wouldn't qualify academically).

Sidney had an in-home with USC on Wednesday and is said to now be enamored with USC.

What a circus.

As long as we're impugning West Virginia fans, here's this.

The IU football one was funny. And true.

Yeah, I thought that was the best part. The handshake one got a laugh out of me too.

My dislike for Notre Dame can be directly traced to the pseudo-IU fans that also root for Notre Dame football. I despise those people.

You and me both.

You can go ahead and despise me then :D

Though I had a little bit of a different path to it then most. My parents passed down a tradition of Notre Dame football from when they had grown up in southern Michigan. I was on my own in college basketball, and my 6 or 7 year old mind didn't know that you should pick the same school for everything (and plus, ND basketball had absolutely no publicity in my area back then and were not on TV, so my fandom in them would be pointless), so I just picked the closest school to me.

I was just slightly too young to remember the last title from either school though so I've managed to be present only for the largest droughts for both.

I do know the bandwagon jumpers that you talk about and get frustrated by them as well. I bet many of them are gone by now with all the struggles of the two teams lately.

I should've specified the bandwagoners.

Well Michigan fans you better beat us on Sunday.

Cyrus Tate and Jeff Peterson are expected to be out again. Then yesterday Jermain Davis who was our only other PG after Peterson and Tucker (leading scorer at New Year's when declared ineligible) got hurt during practice. So Jake Kelly will likely have to run the point for 40 minutes and freshman walk-on John Lickliter (5'9, 170 lb son of coach) may have to remove his redshirt and play for the first time this year.

For the record that's our best rebounder by a mile and best interior threat, starting PG, best shooter and leading scorer while active and only other semi-capable PG and best defender in the backcourt.

This season has turned into a disaster.

Penn State back in in the latest Bracketology (as an 11 against WVU, with a potential 2nd game against Missouri).

Annoying that they don't play this weekend

i see that he has the big ten getting 8 teams in. i just don't think the conference is good enough to justify that many teams making the tourney. he has psu and michigan being two of the last four teams in and then has the first three teams out from the big east. there are a lot of marginal big ten teams - wisconsin, penn st, michigan, minnesota, ohio st - and i don't see the conference getting 5 seeds in the 9 to 13 area. i think the big east will end up with 8 teams in and the big ten will only get 7.

i also don't know that the sec is good enough to merit 5 teams being selected.

I think you'll see an extra Big Ten team squeak in simply because there are little to no Small/Mid-Major at-large possibilities this year.

I saw him play on ESPN. He's good, but his weight might be an issue and his attitude is crap. Seems like USC would be a better fit.

I love love love Mizzou's draw in that bracketology.

yeah, that's more or less an automatic Sweet 16 bid unless you blow in the 2nd round and WVU/PSU get hot from 3

I snoozed my alarm 20 times(not an exaggeration) because I set it for 11, and somebody told me the U of I game was on early today. By the time I had the energy to check the time of the game it was 12:40. The game is tomorrow.

Davidson sucks.

Interesting, my first reaction when I saw it was that Missouri's pod was stacked. WVU doesn't have an impressive resume, but both Pomeroy and Sagarin Predictor have them ranked 6th. I'm not sure if they're that good, but I'd put them over the other 6 seeds. North Dakota State would also be pretty scary for a 14th seed if they end up that low.

Tennessee should really be better than they are this year. Some of the shine wearing off Bruce Pearl.

How? They don't have anyone that can shoot and they can't guard anyone. Seems like they are as good as they should be.

I didn't realize WVU was so well regarded by Pomeroy. Still, they're only 4-7 against the Pomeroy Top 50(including a win against Georgetown and excluding a loss to Davidson), and considering the other 6 seeds are Illinois(no thanks), Syracuse(again, no thanks), and Cal(yes please), it's a pretty good draw. Plus it's no west coast teams in Boise. I was more excited about being in the same half of the bracket as the worst 2 seed in Indy though.

Moore with 18 and Johnson with 8 pts 8 rebs 5 blks at halftime are the only reasons Purdue is up right now.

You're also playing Indiana. That helps.

He's got talent. With the athletes, length and quickness they have there's no reason they shouldn't be playing better defense.

They don't have any shooters but they're offense has been solid.
