Okay so why exactly were the Purdue fans chanting "OVER RATED" near the end of the game?

I'm sure Purdue fans as a whole aren't this bad but Purdue fans at Mackey are just complete morons.

How do you get hosed by the refs FIVE TIMES in the last minute AT HOME?

Raisin's gotta be slitting his wrists over this one. I now hate Taylor Rocheste. What a stupid name.

This team is pathetic and deserved to lose.

Pac-10 refs deserve to be left to rot in Siberia.

Have you been taking notes from me in the Hawks thread?

No, Pac-10 refs are actually bad, like most college referees. They are not qualified for their job.

I'm guessing professional hockey referees at the highest level are much better at their job.

Jrue Holiday has probably played his way out of the first round in the last two weeks, though. Malcolm Lee and he will make for a great backcourt.

Where did you get 5 bad calls from in the last minute? I think they got almost all of the out of bounds calls right after watching them on replay. I don't know if there were any fouls they got hosed on except #4 just swinging his elbows and throwing a punch after getting that rebound. I don't think they got hosed at all really.

The last two minutes of that game was absolute mayhem, it was awesome. I just kept re-winding and watching every play over again. IT was impossible to officiate.

Shipp has to be absolutely sick.

The referees were awful, but so was the clock guy. Anyone else see the clock freeze for a few seconds on UCLA's possesion when Drago hit the three?

Wow I just went back and saw that. At least 3 full seconds elapsed with the clock stopped. That 3 should have been the end of the game.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. But, the announcers didn't even notice. Although one of them pry didn't care. ;)

The charge/travel on Rochestie that was called a block and four out-of-bounds calls from the 3-minute mark on (sorry, not last minute). I have Tivo too.

I can't complain about the Rochestie play, that's just too tough a call but each of those OOBs calls were brutal. How the baseline ref wasn't even around on the second call I don't know.

Shipp...he loves showboating dunks and he tries to lay it in there? Stupid.

The clock guy at Pauley is incompetent. He forgot to turn on the clock the final 19 seconds Thursday (with UCLA up). I'm sure he was giving a home court advantage today but he's screwed up a few times.

That's awesome. I am sure he gets into the game. But, this one was bad as it ran, stopped, ran again.

If it was my team and they got those calls at home I'd be pissed too. I just think they were some really tough calls and I'm not sure they got many wrong.

The one I thought was a bad call was with Wazzu up 5 and 2 minutes left. Rochestie threw the home run pass, after the save the shot was blocked and it looked like it went off WSU but they got the ball.

That sideline call with Shipp it looked like it hit Thompson before he stepped out and then hit Shipp last. Then the one with 30 seconds left where they almost threw it away, Wazzu dude saved it, it looked like Holiday reached in and knocked it out last.

The charge/block just couldn't have been a charge there. Dragovic was still sliding while Rochestie was coming down with the ball. He wasn't set and gave him no room to land.

The charge block should have been a travel.

Yeah, the home run pass was the first OOB call I didn't like. The Thompson play: Shipp hit it but in the air and Thompson touched it with a foot OOB. Dragovic was set but the better call was a travel, I see illiniguy agrees.

I'm just upset that UCLA couldn't get a single call at home down the stretch.

This team will be lucky to win more than one game in the tourney. You can't win with only one competent post guy - and that guy is only 6'6".

The Steve Lavin award?

The Jerry Wainwright Award. End of discussion.

Edit: Someone beat this with Dave Bliss. At least Wainwright didn't cover up a murder, but even if he did, Ponsetto wouldn't fire him.
