Possible good news for the Sox....Soriano just got hit in the hand, hopefully it's broke or effects him for the next few weeks when we play them 6 times

Give me a break.

People were jumping with joy around here when the Pujols news broke.

The little ESPN ticker updated, and it's now 8-0 Cardinals. I don't even want to check to see how they scored.

Three straight hits from the murderer's row of LaRue, Looper, and Ryan.

Well, on the bright side, at least the Cards are putting away Dusty Baker's Reds -- probably for good. I was getting a tad nervous about them. If the Cards can put away the Stros, Crew, and Reds......then collapse later on, I think we'll all take it.

The Reds were in last place and were 3-5 in their last two series before they played the Cards.

I know, but they brought up Bruce who caught fire, and their pitching looked like it might have the capability of gelling together for them and producing a run. They seemed like a more dangerous team to me about a week ago. Now they're going to be 11.5 out, pretty much done.

What's the big deal?

Yeah, so?

A fastball in the back of a Braves player is order, I'd say.

No. I'd rather not see Dempster get in trouble. Save it for later in the game when Wuertz is pitching or something. Drill fat McCann in his back.

SCORE!!!

I hope we play the Sox in the WS and sweep them, with the Cubs winning at least 10-0 every game and Soriano hitting 9 home runs. Of course if that happened, Sox fans would say something stupid like "We've been to the World Series twice in 5 years and you haven't" or something like

I'm reading that a broken hand is usually a 6-8 week injury...

Funny...I just had this weird feeling when I saw Pujols go down that some sort of injury would happen to the Cubs..

Albert will be back next week and Soriano will be out for two months.

I'm surprised you didn't find the most extreme course of treatment for a broken hand--amputation or something like that.

Perhaps you should start a Cubs Injury thread to document all of the ailments that have befallen us.
