Another predictable point, Pierre is a Cubs killer and completely blew as a Cub

Andrew Jackson was only 10 in 1776....just sayin.

A point that I've known for quite some time

Why can't we swear on this board

I really wish we could

Marquis keeps his promise, we aren't allowed a lead

I want to be able to swear at least in game threads

That .426 OBP looks awesome. I definitely think at this point and time he should be the starting catcher in the AS Game over Soto. McCann too.

Can't blame Marquis this inning. More crappy defense leads to the unearned run.

He should be able to get out juan for 4. I am still blaming him.

Oh ok. I wasn't trying to be snide or anything, it's just that as a former history teacher I felt the need to point that out.

"they haven't been as bad as they are statistically." yep, just heard that

They don't lose as much as the standings would lead you to believe!

In fact when they wrote that I sent them an e-mail and felt like I was being a touch pedantic

Crappy pitching led to Pierre hitting a line drive single up the middle.

Well, singles tend to happen in Baseball. That said, he gets out of the inning easily if not for that horrid throw by Geo. I am not a Marquis fan at all, but that inning is on Geo.

Go back to the play and look closely. The throw was bad, but it bounced off the edge of the grass and bounced away from DeRosa. DeRo would have had that if not for the unlucky bounce.
