So I think Lou has Lieber ready for a possible long outing. Judging from his talk on the mound with Marquis last outing Marquis could be on the leash Hill was when he got pulled.

Which of y'all would rather have Hoffpaiur up to spell Lee and have Hart sent down? I really think as the bullpen is getting rested, it may be the pertinent thing to do. Just my opinion.

So our final hope of a winning road trip after it started out so great relys on the shaky, inconsistant arm of Jason Marquis.

Penny hasnt won since May 2, and the Dodgers have only won 1 of those games, so I guess we have that going for us.

 

We also have Jason Marquis pitching, which counteracts any crappiness on Penny's part.

At the start of the trip I just wanted to see a winning road trip. That can still be accomplished. A win tonight sends them back home one game better than when they left.

Seconded, maybe, just, maybe the Cubs will play like the best team in the NL and beat the crap that is the Dodgers, who knows, perhaps, the Cubs will get a few gifts from the Umpires as well. They're certainly due to catch a few breaks, I've had enough of the Dodgers beating the Cubs with seeing eye and bloop singles, missed calls, etc.

I hope Marquis sucks, gets rocked, and the we win the Cubs. The sooner hes out of the rotation the better.

 

Sadly, Marquis getting ocked wont get him out of the rotation. The only thing that might get him out would be a trade for a quality starter, and I say maybe becasue that might get Gallagher out instead. Lou doesnt trust Hill or Marshall yet. Even if Marquis were taken out of the rotation, hed be moved to the pen where he could potentilly do more damage.

Take heart..... the CUBS are 4-0 over the past 1.5 seasons with Angel Hernandez behind the plate.... and 2 of those games had Jason Marquis starting !! :wink:
