Hart keeps getting ahead 0-2 and then farting those AB's away.

This will be the 6th straight game that the Cubs starter has failed to get through the sixth inning. They need to start going deeper into games to keep from having bullpen issues.

 

Fortunately, we have some viable options in the minors in Hart (who's pitching right now), Ascanio, Marshall and Hill.

 

I'd let Mike Burns have a cup of coffee before Kevin Hart.

What pisses me off about this winning streak is that we haven't really gained that much ground on the Cardinals. Stupid Cards playing way over their heads.

 

You could also look at it as the Cards keep winning and they are losing ground.

 

Wellemeyer should come back to earth any start now.

 

The fact that Wellemeyer was NL's best pitcher last month really gets to me. The Cards have a terrible lineup, crappy pitchers, but are somehow 10 games over .500. It doesn't even make sense.
