please let blanco play once or twice a week... soto cannot play 150 games this year.

Yeah. 140 max for Soto, I think.

I'd really rather him not play in more than 130-135, but we all know that's not going to happen.

We need to. Soto is probably tiring a bit from going almost every day. Plus its not like Blanco has been horrible this year. He's hitting .350 or so in a limited sample size.

i wouldn't say illinois "played" in the rose bowl, bob

It's not so bad when you know it's coming, though.

That's why all the losing as a Cubs fan the past couple of bad seasons didn't bother me that much.

Illinois was in the game for a little bit...

Eh, it was 10-21 or something for a couple minutes, but USC dominated us in the beginning and end of the game.

I was going crazy when Mendenhall had that big run. I think we were within 11 like you said.

mcclouth flies out deep. i hate both the pirates and the cardinals.

Meh Ive came to grips with the fact that Stl isnt going away. I actually like it when both teams are in competition. We win the division, Stl wins the WC, and let us meet in the playoffs, the midwest would be ridiculous.

In other news, Pie and E-Patt both have HRs for the I-Cubs while Sam Fuld and Matt Craig have HRs for the Smokies.

As disappointed as I am with how the Cubs have handled Pie, I'm really glad they were bluffing with Fuld.

This series just gave Edmonds a stay of execution.

after being in central MO during their WS run a few years ago, I want the cards as far away from the playoffs as possible, haha.

Fuld had a hitless streak in AA that went the same amount of time as Pie's. Fuld's managed to climb out of the hole, whereas Pie still has a ways to go.

Pie at AAA .125 .208 .229 going into today

Yea dont get me wrong Id enjoy them losing every game, but thats not happening. I think the Cubs Cards in the playoffs would just be an absolute blast. Familys would be fighting, friendships may end haha
