It was a valid HR call based on the replay WGN just picked up from the Pirates cameras.

Wait Len & Bob say it isn't a HR? I don't know anymore, I'm lost. If the ball hits the top of the fence, isn't that a HR?

Only if it bounces over the fence and out of the field of play

God, now our players are just gonna feel sorry for themselves for that blown HR call, and give up, even though Lilly pitches a good game.

I can see it: 1-0 Pittsburgh win.

Or if there's one of those neat yellow lines on top of the wall.

I'm not sure what's worse the strike 'em out, throw 'em out DP with no outs or the inning-ending type. I guess the former is more deflating, but...

Chris, why the pessimism? Best record in the National League isn't good enough for you? It's time you realize the Cubs are a good baseball team. You can do it, I believe in you!

This is why.

Lou needs to go on a tirade and get suspended for about a week to get his dumbness away from the team for a while. His ridiculous overmanaging and mismanaging is just pissing me off.

That is what I was thinking of. So if the Pirates had a yellow line on that wall, it would have been HR due to different ground rules? I was just thinking I know I've seen home runs that hit a certain point on a wall and bounced back but were still considered home runs.

Now it's meltdown time, Ted

We look tired today. I fully expect a blow out by Pit today.

^Shouldn't the pirates be tired too?

You'd think so eh?

I think its a little less tiring when you win the night before.
